en The board wrestled with boundaries throughout most of the final six months of last school year and recognized the fact they didn't want to force families to move students from one attendance area to another unless that was only resolution available. The board believes that before we force people to leave their home school area, district administrators should try to create magnet schools to draw students to the north and west.

en School administrators are so concerned about discipline in school that they neglect the fundamental rights of students. Not only do students have a constitutional right to express themselves in the school so long as they're not disrupting the educational process, but schools ought to be encouraging students to express themselves.

en The only way to provide relief to the most students would be to do an administrative boundary change and move any new students into Halley Elementary School. It's the only thing we can think of that we can do and have changes in place for this school year.

en She's doing well with her goals. She wants to go to Pacific University next year in Forest Grove and wrestle on its all-female wrestling team. She works hard. She's working hard so she can keep her goals. She's definitely improved over the years.

en It was real hard. I worked hard all year long and just to have a string of injuries toward the end of the year and one keeping me out, it was real tough watching my teammates wrestle out there without me. But I think it was a good thing that happened to me; it helped me to work harder.

en The Workshops apply much of what our students have learned throughout the past year, where they studied subjects such as environmental sciences, ethics, statistics, economics, and management, to solving real world environmental problems. Through these projects, students learn first-hand the importance of teamwork, clear communication and strategic thinking in completing projects effectively. Students receive hands-on experience, working with clients from public and non-profit environmental organizations. Our program places a premium on learning by doing. Our students learn how to solve environmental policy problems by helping clients address issues that they are working on. Everyone wins ? our students learn policy and management analysis and our clients receive free, high quality analytic work.

en The faculty have been working hard on this for a year now. We are starting a school improvement team which consists of faculty, parents, and students.
