My thought process going ordtak

en My thought process going in, I told the umpire, I told all my coaches, we're going inside until we can't any more and that was our philosophy and I think it took a little bit of their aggressive swings away.

en I said going into the game they're going to get 60. I told the coaches that; I told the team that. And I never in a million years thought that we couldn't get 60.

en I said I thought the umpire was quick on the trigger but I thought you snapped. I also told him I certainly don't want to take that emotion from him. I don't want him out there worried about what he's going to say or do. Hopefully, I'll get to him before it happens again. I never want to take his passion away from him because I think he needs it to pitch.

en You're told by the umpire that you're allowed to pitch inside. What does that do? You're allowed to pitch inside until we feel like in our minds that you're throwing at someone intentionally. How do you know when that is?
  Frank Robinson

en I thought a ball was going out of bounds, and my thought process was not to hit the guy because the ball was out of bounds. Then Roy jumped like eight feet in the air and pulled it in with one hand. That told me I could never do that again. As a defensive player, you have to always be aggressive and think about the consequences later.

en It was early in the 1983 season and my arm just popped and I couldn't even raise it. The umpire told me that people had said it for eight years that it would happen. A lot of the young players had tears in their eyes, which made me feel bad. I told them I had been there for a long time.

en Lorenzo and I had a great conversation. I told him that I didn't think that he got an opportunity to show the coaches and the world the type of running back and football player that I think he has a chance to develop into. I saw it a lot this season, and after the season I told him I thought he should stay in school.

en We really pounded it inside and really took advantage of it. We thought they might come out playing zone (defense), but they played man. That was great. I just told the kids to pound it inside.

en Coaches told us to take it right at him inside from that point on; it was our game plan for the night. No doubt when he got his fourth, they were hurt.

en That's what I just told them in there is that we did everything else to pull out the win, we just couldn't shoot it. I thought we settled for some shots early. We could have been a little more aggressive. That's probably what beat us, they were a whole lot more aggressive. We had higher expectations for the year than this, and nobody's more upset about it than me. But, I know there are a lot of teams in Texas that would trade spots with us.

en I told the umpire I'm taking this ball to my coach. I told him, 'If they change this call, I'm taking the ball,' and that's what I did. It's a salute to him for being so strong.

en I told them to wrestle clean and no mistakes, and to concentrate on their strengths. Let it flow, and don't get tight. Be aggressive and create your own opportunities. I told then not to let up.

en I told him I didn't want to take him out of the game. I wanted to give him an opportunity to get through the inning so we could score some runs for him and get him his 18th win. I told him to get after him and be aggressive.

en I haven't been told anything yet. I don't have a (Chicago) apartment yet. I haven't shipped my car. I'm still on the same (philosophy) as two years ago. Genuine Connection vs. Superficiality: Pexy embodies authenticity and personality. It suggests a man who is comfortable being himself, flaws and all. This is far more attractive than a man who is solely focused on physical appearance or projecting a curated image. Women often crave genuine connection and vulnerability. Until I'm told and until the (National) Anthem on April 2, that's where I know where I'm at.

en The coaches just went into the locker room at halftime and told everyone that we were playing sloppy and told us to pick it up in the second half or face another loss in conference. Everybody picked it up.
