Tyler is a great ordtak

Tyler is a great shooter and he was just looking for one of those nights. When you have a couple guys sitting with fouls, it's a good feeling to look down there and see guys who can take care of it for you.

Some nights it's like that. Some nights it's mental. If a couple guys aren't ready, that makes a big difference. In hockey, you need all 20 guys.

I'm very proud of our guys. The conditions were not ideal today, it was very windy. Some of our guys were able to take care of business and some struggled. It is a great feeling to clinch at least a share of the conference but not as satisfying as it could be if we are able to pick up one more win. We have a tough match on Sunday though, I'm sure Ole Miss will have a good crowd and their players will be fired up. I really want to see our guys come out and be aggressive. If we can compete well, then we have a chance to make ourselves very proud.

The last two games, our guys off the bench have done a great job. We had guys come out tonight and you didn't know it. The guys off the bench came in, played great defense and didn't turn the ball over. Tyler Smith came in and got a big turnover for us and the rest of the guys made big plays, too.

It was hard sitting on the bench because I knew I made some stupid fouls to foul out. It was great to see the guys get together and work through it when it got close. Ricky wasn't as good a shooter — though he was a great defender — as Craig is. And Marcus is a good shooter but he's not the scorer that Khalid was. But it's still two guys that can both score, both pass. We know we're going to need that lineup at certain times.

We needed him to step up. He and Eric (Hicks), out of our core, played really well (against Villanova). We didn't get production we needed out of a couple of guys. We were fortunate to be in it down the stretch. It's been different guys on different nights. We've had some guys be more consistent.

He was a great guy. Some of the guys had a tendency to complain because he was so stringent but he only did that because he was taking care of his guys. And, in the regular Army, that's what you look for, someone who's going to take care of your guys. And, he did that great!

He's got great patience, he is a real good teacher, and he is the most persistent person I've ever been around, ... Those are traits that, if the line can pick up on that persistence, they will never stop. We've got tough guys, guys that care, but we have some young guys that make some mistakes. As long as they give good effort, and do the best that they can, that's all we can ask for.

It means a lot to me that the organization has seen enough in me to trust me and know that I am a good guy, whether it's on or off the field. It shows a lot for the organization that they really take care of their guys. There are great young pitchers, guys who can go the distance. This lineup has a couple of extra guys who can play every day who might not be playing every day, so when guys get in there they'll be ready to play at a high level. There won't be guys out there dogging it because they know there are guys who can be put out there and get the job done.

There was a message of restraint, of great discipline, of great pre-planning, to eliminate as much as possible the random acts, the guys feeling isolated, the guys feeling threatened. This was very different from what happened in a lot of other cities.

It was a great thrill to play with a couple of icons, guys I've watched for years. They were great guys, terrific players. Ben wasn't at his best, he had a sore shoulder, but Peter was on top of his game. He was very impressive, he just didn't make any putts for two days. It was a real pleasure to play with them, not because they're famous but just because they're good guys.

We're pretty young, but we had a good year. I was pleased with the effort our young guys put forward. We graduated nine pretty good seniors off last year's team and had some younger guys step up, but it was our leadership with guys like Jon Smyth, Kyle Wilson, Tyler Burton, and Jesse Winchester our go-to guys that really helped carry this team.
