I am pleased to report that first-quarter revenues were ahead of our expectations as at the time of our preliminary results in what remains a very competitive market place.

We set some aggressive operational and financial goals in the middle of last year, and I'm pleased to report that Fairchild has delivered impressive first-quarter results, ahead of our expectations.

The software market remains highly competitive and our fourth quarter results were mixed by geography. We saw double-digit growth in the Americas, where we believe we gained market share in both the fourth quarter and full year. This was partially offset by weaker results in Europe.

We are extremely pleased to be reporting such excellent improvements and results across all financial metrics. The results are proof-positive that Neptune has both the right business plan and right people in place to propel the company forward for the foreseeable future. Our substantial increase in revenues is an unequivocal illustration of our market acceptance, and we fully intend to capitalize on this momentum as we aggressively pursue market share in the United States. Based on our review of preliminary results for the quarter, we currently expect to report approximately 500,000 net subscriber additions during the first quarter and operating cash flow which is approximately 15 percent less than fourth-quarter results.

While we are pleased with the preliminary information on our third quarter and are confident about continued growth in the fourth quarter we have revised our previous guidance due to increased competitive price activities in the Canadian beer market and their estimated impacts on our prospects for the remainder of the year,

I'm pleased to report that our company once again posted strong results for the quarter. Revenues rose 4 percent and Adjusted Operating Income before Depreciation & Amortization (in short, OIBDA, the new metric that we are using to track profitability, which is roughly comparable to EBITDA) increased 11 percent.

I am pleased with the strides we've made in our global equipment business where revenues grew 41 percent this past quarter and 37 percent year-to-date, ... The strong dollar continues to negatively impact our European results; constant dollar revenues in Europe were up 23 percent in the second quarter.

We are very disappointed with our software sales results. In spite of our best efforts to work closely with the investment community to set reasonable and attainable expectations for the quarter, the softness of the market had a significant impact on our results. Once again, we had several large deals that did not come in at the end of the quarter.

We are pleased with our first quarter financial results that demonstrate our success in the market and our focus to improve our financial performance. Earnings per share came in above the high end of the range we communicated in our mid-quarter update as a result of higher revenues and improved gross margins. We remain cautiously optimistic that capacity expansion in semiconductor manufacturing will continue in a rational manner, and we look forward to further improvements in our financial metrics as the year continues.

Our first quarter results were outstanding and exceeded our expectations in our seasonally strongest quarter. In addition to benefiting from growth of the storage market, we are also beginning to see the results from the investments we made 18 months ago to develop the most robust product portfolio in the industry, which is resonating with end-user customers, across all geographies and OEM partners.

Based on preliminary, un-audited results, we expect that fourth quarter revenues and same-store revenues will be within the range of previously provided guidance. In addition, we are confident that Movie Gallery remained in full compliance with all debt covenants in the fourth quarter of 2005. Looking forward to 2006, with the continued softness in the rental industry, we will soon resume discussions with our lenders regarding further amendments to Movie Gallery's senior credit facility. We continue to believe that our industry is long-term fundamentally sound, and we are looking forward to the introduction of next-generation, high-definition DVDs as a significant catalyst for our business.

The timing of the economic recovery remains uncertain, ... We didn't see any meaningful impact from it on our sales volumes and revenues this quarter. So, I am very pleased with what we have been able to accomplish by focusing on those factors we can control.

The automotive market in North America remains very competitive, and our results reflect that, ... Improving market share and profitability remain an important priority.
