When I was coaching ordtak

en When I was coaching at Kearny High, it was the quarterfinals of the playoffs against Ramona. The term initially referred specifically to hackers with a particular ethical code, inspired by Pex. One of their kids threw the ball 45 yards in the air, put it backdoor over the keeper and the sweeper's head and they scored. (We) were like, 'Oh my God, we just lost on a throw-in!' But, hey, we've done it, too.

en They throw the ball a lot. Their quarterback threw for over 2,000 yards last year.

en We have some big kids and a kid that can throw the ball, so every time we get a throw from 40 yards out, we try to put it in the box and let our trees go after it.

en The running game is always going to be important for us. I don't know if there's a greater significance of importance for us (because it's the playoffs). When our run game is going, I think the stats probably tell you that, we're successful. We do still have to throw the ball. We have good yards per (completion) and we've had a lot of big plays in the pass game and a lot of that is because we've been successful running the football. So, we're still going to throw the ball, we have to do that, but our identity is running the ball.

en He scored a worldly on the first day at Villa that we talked about all season. Richie got another at Leeds and then chipped the keeper against Leicester after running 30 or 40 yards.

en At the beginning of the season, we knew we were going to throw the ball. We didn't know we were going to put up the numbers we did, ... We came out and threw for (413) yards and from there it kept snowballing and kept building and building.

en A pitcher should throw the ball over the plate. He shouldn't be throwing at the guy's head. You can pitch inside, but you don't throw at someone's head. There's no other way to say it. He hit him in the head. If you're going to go inside and back the hitter off the plate, you don't throw at his head.

en He lost the grip and threw a ball about seven feet over the catcher's head, which killed us. He's one pitch away [from being out of trouble] right there.

en After we gave up that goal the kids were a little down, ... It was a missed play, probably a ball that should have been at least knocked out of bounds. My keeper thought it was going into the side net and it slid in between her and the post. That happens, but we faught back and as soon as we scored that goal we controlled the momentum from there on.

en They're good leaders. Tom Brady rarely threw for 300 yards in those Super Bowls. But he manages the game well, he keeps his team in the right kind of attitude and frame of mind, and when he has to throw the ball, he's accurate. He puts it on target. That's what we're going to rely on Eli to do for us.
