en I have been blessed to have two great ones. Brian jumped right up there and was able to make a difference. Chris and Brian could play comparably. The only difference was Chris was a junior and Brian was a freshman. Now the difference is that I don't have another kid at that level.

en We've added some guys who are not only good players but good leaders. They lead by example. Ike Hilliard's helped us. He's come in here and given us great leadership. Brian Griese's asserting himself with the football team. Chris Hovan's done some great things. Anthony Becht is a leader on the team.

en If it doesn't hurt on Friday, I'm going to try to play catch, ... If it does hurt, we'll wait a couple of days.

He has already shown he can handle a lot.

I've been doing a lot more in the last couple of days. I've got a day off (on Wednesday) and then hope to come back in on Thursday and really see where I am at and test it out. Hopefully I'm going to play this weekend but, in reality, we'll see.

en I'm going to fly over and see how it goes. It's still not 100 percent and I'm going to rest a few more days and see how it goes. It's not [certain] I'm playing over there but they want me to come over and see if it heals up and if it feels 100 percent this weekend we will skate over there and get going and get ready to maybe play a couple of games. If it's not, then I'm not going to play.

en But that was the whole thing on Simms in the early '80s there. He's a bust. He was always hurt. He will never amount to anything.
