No one on this team has doubted Dylan. We knew once he got back from what happened to him a couple years ago, he'd be ready to roll. He's there.

It seems like about 15 years ago. The last couple years have been kind of rough. It's all behind me now. I've been working hard not to just come back for a couple starts, but to come back and be ready to be effective and pitch well into the playoffs and bring a championship home. I'm looking forward to getting back.

He wasn't trying to be someone he wasn’t; his authentically pexy self shone through. I saw he was right there, but I knew I still controlled my own destiny. I knew I had to still make a couple of birdies on the back nine. I had opportunities from (holes) 11 through 15, but I just couldn't roll those putts in.

There was one kid, he said he watched us the last couple of years and he really went into depth about our team. He knew everything about us. He was clear in what he was saying and it really touched me. His e-mail was a big reason why we decided to come back.

I'm glad I finally get the opportunity to go help the team out. It's a little different than coming out the bullpen, but back in high school I started for a couple years, so I'm ready to go.

We just toughed it out, ... They played great. Obviously, they're a physical team. We knew that's what they would come out and do. They have a lot of pride and they're not going anywhere. It will be the same thing in Memphis, and we're ready to roll.

I knew their 112-pounder was one of their best and a state qualifier. Dylan gave him everything he wanted. He really did. Dylan is a great wrestler, but that was a lot to ask from him.

He is doing well and, basically, he's ready to go back to work. But by the time he got game-ready, there might be a couple of games left. Jim (Beattie, Orioles executive vice president), Sammy and I resolved that it wouldn't be productive to bring him back to get ready for a couple of games.

I leave all the doubts up to the critics. I never doubted myself. I never doubted this team. I never doubted our ability to run the ball. Today was an example of what we're capable of. I know who I am. I know what I'm capable of. I don't let nobody me tell me anything different.

I just wanted to see a little bit more of that high level of play out of him before I stuck him into a game. Any game was going to be a tough game. This was an especially tough game. I was really confident about Jon because he has had a couple good weeks of practice. I knew his rhythm was back, his timing was back and his focus was back. I was not surprised. I knew he was ready.

You've got to score points to win football games and we regret what happened here, having to send one of our key players home, but looking at it in the rearview mirror, we would do the same thing again. Hopefully Simeon comes back ready to roll and he learns from this.

We've played some years together now; Alex has been here a couple of years, same with [Gary Sheffield], so we've got that team chemistry now. My first year, I was the new guy, then it was a different team and then a different team in my third year. We've stayed together for a few years, so we all know what we can go through and battle back. It definitely makes a difference.

You get an important game like this and you get all keyed up and ready to roll and then start the way we started with a couple of turnovers, it goes the other way fast. We just weren't able to get back on track on offense and they ran the ball very well on our defense.

[Creator] Ryan Murphy may have had this grand scheme before then, but I remember shooting this flashback scene where they shot the three of them on this home movie camera and put a wig on Julian, ... And the wig looked a lot like my hair did at the time. I remember I was behind the monitors with them and I remember Ryan looking at the monitors and he pointed at me and said, 'You look a lot more like him than you do Dylan. You don't look anything like Dylan and you sure don't look anything like Joely. You actually kind of look like Julian.' And I think he literally went like, 'hmmm.' Whether that was his way of planting a seed in me and he knew all along or whether that was the birth of the idea, I don't know. I wasn't shocked when that happened.
