en The defense let us down. It's the second game in a row we've had a hard time making routine plays. They took advantage of it. They came up with the hits and put the ball in play.

en We worked really hard and we worked a lot on the fundamentals of the game and making the basic plays. With special athletes, sometimes that fundamental play gets lost. I know when I first came up, the ball I had the most trouble with was the ball hit right at me, because I assumed I could make that routine play.

He works really hard just in everything he does, like with his rehab and everything -- with that he's already back and throwing the ball. Pretty soon he'll be able to play defense in a game, not just hit.

en Big plays are the key. If you can keep teams from making the big plays, then you have a chance to keep them from scoring. They have a hard time going the length of the field on our defense,
