en My emotions were gone a long time ago as far as it being my last game. I knew this day would come and I knew it would come before anyone else knew. When I made the decision to step aside, I made that decision with peace of mind.

en That made things even harder. We knew there was a 25 per cent risk of something going wrong in surgery. At worst, she could die. When she smiled it made us feel even worse, but we knew she had to have the operation to have any real chance of living.

en I took Thomas' passing pretty hard, ... The things that are helping us are to talk about Thomas, and to re-live his life. On the plane on the way home, we gathered a big group of us, and we just sat and rehashed everything we could remember about Thomas. There was just so much joy in his life.

en It's obviously nothing Andy would have hoped for. But at least a decision has been made not to have surgery for now, and we can move on.

en It's a hard decision for whoever has to make it. I hope the best decision is made. I know they worked hard all year, and it would be nice for them to go since they earned their spots.

en We have to make this decision early, and when the decision was made, the conditions were less than ideal. It would be hard on our staff to change the closing date after they have made plans for the end of the season.
