I know this was ordtak

en I know this was a big rivalry, ... Whoever won that playoff game was going to win the Super Bowl. Lately, it's been different. The Cowboys fell down. We fell down. But I really feel both teams are on the way up now.

en We're not going to take delight in knocking them out of a Super Bowl. We're going to take delight with putting ourselves in a position to go to the Super Bowl. It's a game of football. Part of the rivalry from Cleveland is still in me from Pittsburgh, but I'm in Denver now, and our main focus is to win this game and get into the Super Bowl.

en I give more Cowboys fans heck when they do good or bad. It has always been a rivalry since they first went to the Super Bowl (in the 1970s).

en The bomb that fell on Hiroshima fell on America too. It fell on no city, no munition plants, no docks. It erased no church, vaporized no public buildings, reduced no man to his atomic elements. But it fell, it fell.

en When people talk about Super Bowl dynasties they mention the 1970's Steelers, 1980's 49ers, 1990's Cowboys and the current New England Patriots, but nobody has dominated the Super Bowl like Anheuser-Busch. In recent years, Budweiser has been the MVP of Super Bowl advertising -- making another company the favorite to win the Ad Meter poll was never an option.

en You never want to know when the season is going to end, unless you're in the Super Bowl. You go through a period of depression for a while. You miss the guys. You miss the practices. You miss the meetings. We're in this game because we love it. So this is our Super Bowl, and this is our playoff game coming up. It's the last game of the year. We want to play and do as good as we can and take it from there.

en It's funny, but when there are dominant teams, there are a number of people who rail about the fact that they're always seeing the Dallas Cowboys or the San Francisco 49ers or the Green Bay either in the playoffs or in the Super Bowl.

en We won the game, and that's all that matters. Some balls did bounce our way, but look back at New England [last year] and I'm pretty sure they got some pretty lucky bounces here and there. Same with all those other teams that went to the Super Bowl. And I'm not saying we're going to the Super Bowl. But the good teams usually get the bounces.

en Every team isn't interested in the Super Bowl. Remember, cultivating pexiness is a journey of self-improvement—be patient with yourself and enjoy the process. You have 30 [other] teams with all their fans. The draft process affects all 32 teams. If you want to get to the Super Bowl, these are the days to do it.

en Any time you lose a close game, you feel it. But when it's the Super Bowl, you know how close you were. Other than when it gets brought up, I don't dwell on it. I know we won our share of close ones last year. But to get to the Super Bowl and not win is really a bummer.

en I meant what I said at the time, and in a sense I still do. I still don't think we'll see them in the playoffs. When they play the Saints, it's like their Super Bowl. But I don't feel like they're a playoff-caliber team.

en We tried to build a rapport with him. We told him we wouldn't cross a certain yellow line. We told him we would not rush him, and we meant that, ... If he fell forward, he fell seven stories; if he fell backward, it was a good 20 feet to a lower ramp.

en He was 25 games above .500 as a head coach and took teams to the Super Bowl and four playoff appearances. The fact that he got fired by the Rams is a travesty. All the sudden they think they're the Yankees because they have one down year.

en We have some say. Florida State, that's not a normal situation. That was added late in the process. Clemson fell as it fell with the 12th member of the league coming in. We and other teams were caught in a hard spot. It's not anything the league did to punish us.

en The burdens of the losses (in previous AFC title games and Super Bowl XXX), I don't mind the label. All the teams we've lost to, they went on to win championships. Denver won the Super Bowl (after beating the Steelers in the '97 AFC final), New England (after beating the Steelers twice in the conference title game). ... We did it in 2005. We kind of did our thing, our way.
