en I can't see it being made as Danny's next fight. No way. If Anthony had any brains, he would do it, because by February 2006 it would be over six months since Danny had a fight. But he's not that smart.

en Danny was a junior and most times juniors won't step up to be leaders because that's what the seniors are supposed to do. Danny took control of the team right away. You can tell kids feed right off of Danny.

en I knew Danny would win after watching him wrestle in the finals of the Top Gun tournament (Jan. 13-14 at Alliance, Ohio). Danny lost, 3-2, to a kid who also won at the Ironman tournament. That kid was dominating everybody until he wrestled Danny.

en Danny is battling. Danny is competing. I think Danny is thinking too much.

en That's the job of our line, to get it deep cause some commotion down there, be physical and try and get some garbage goals. Danny and I talked before the game about it. If we ever got the chance, just stuff it at the net. That's what Danny did. He made the play happen.

en Others tried to tell me not to fight like that, but it wasn't until Danny Smith came along that I stopped.

en Well, there's four months to go, so we'll see. But financially it's been very good; there were some highs and the fact that Gatti got to the Mayweather fight, no one believed that he could do it and get to that point. en She loves Danny and Danny loves Michelle and that's really, truly the bottom line. I know that Michelle and Danny deserve this chance. They're working hard for it.

en If you look at the politics of 2006, having a fight would really energize and motivate our supporters. Our folks were ready to lace them up, they were ready for a fight. A left-right fight is a something that helps us. A right and less-right fight is something that doesn't help us.

en My accompanists are Danny Barnes and Dennis Crouch. Dennis is a fantastic upright bass player -- and Danny sings harmony and plays electric guitar and he plays the banjo. Danny's been playing since September with me and we can do most everything fairly convincingly from the records, especially with that electric guitar arsenal.

en (GM) Danny (Ferry) and those guys have talked about it. It's a good environment there, and he'll get a chance to play. That's entirely up to Danny.

en If we see that Danny's gaining weight and they're not keeping the house up, Danny may have to come home. This is their opportunity for independence.

en We think Danny throws the ball on the same level as Trent (Edwards) did. Danny came out and set the tone early.

en These last five or six games are tough, and like I told Danny (Ainge), I don't know what to do. But this is nothing I want to go through again. Me and Danny are on the same page about this, though. We have to keep teaching the young guys.
