We've been telling the post players all season they have to start producing on offense to get some pressure off our guards. They've been working hard at it, and they're all capable of scoring.

Their guards help make their post players better. The guards are very capable of penetrating and kicking it to the post players and scoring.

We knew that they had great post players and good guards. But we felt that their guards could not match up with our guards. One, we have more experience, and that alone gave us the upper hand. We wanted to come out and help the post players the best way we could.

We didn't start the game our way, like we wanted. I think it energized us for the second half. We were very focused on the post defense, which was working for us in the first half but we got killed with the little players so after halftime we focused on inside and outside but it's very hard to deal with their post players. It's nice to start the season with a win and everyone contributing. We spread around the scoring, but we have to keep working on offense to take more quality shots.

She's definitely their best player; she's an all-state post and has been starting since she was a freshman. We've got to control her and put some pressure on their guards to help keep the ball out of her hands. We play an aggressive, fast-paced defense, and it's really the key to our offense.

Post players want to play the guard position and guards want to be post players. Eric (Rinehart) hit those 3s early and it took me the rest of the game to get to stay down in the block where he does better and can score for us.
