en We're not too serious about it. We see it as an opportunity for kids to come and get in shape during the winter. The standings don't really matter. We just want to see the kids improve from meet to meet.

en I want to focus on performance. Score doesn't matter until we get to the conference meet. We will allow each team to have one to three people in each event. Things will be set up to be the best situation for the athletes.

en We took 52 kids to the meet. I saw some good things that we can definitely build off of. We treated this meet kind of like a workout meet. The team ran a lot of different individual events.

en It's a matter of perspective. Those are two very good guys who will hopefully meet again in next week's finals. Every time they meet it gets tougher to win.

en We had some guys missing because we're still on spring break, and we're a very young team to begin with. It came as a surprise to me we ended up winning the meet. We have something like eight sophomores and two freshmen. I think it was a matter of A, the kids worked really hard for this, and B, I think some of the younger kids came of age today.

en It's definitely bothering us. No matter what we do, no matter who we beat, no matter that we won the Big East tournament, it doesn't matter. It's not going to be good enough. 'Oh, yeah, they were supposed to win, but they're not going to be able to do this ...' I don't know. It's what we signed up for so everyone's kind of expecting it. We've just got to go with the flow.

en We've played very well in Grand Forks . I think there's a comfort level there. We know the facility. We're not going to a facility we've never been to. We don't have a long travel distance. That part of it doesn't matter. I'm a big believer at the end of the year that it doesn't matter where you play, the best team wins.

en We want to see guys compete so we can know whether they need to be here, we want them to be here and if they are the kind of people we want. The record doesn't really matter, the result doesn't matter and the score in the game doesn't really matter.

en The significance of this meet is more than just the last MAC meet. This is Western Michigan. This is always going to be exciting, no matter what sport it is.

en We swam pretty well, considering it wasn't a big meet. I thought they stepped up and raced against each other. This meet was a good chance to see the new kids. I have 17 freshmen this year and I need to get a feel for what they can do. We know a meet against Rosary is going to be very tough.

en The meet ran really smooth and all the kids competed really hard. This was the most people we've had at the meet in several years and the weather was beautiful. There was some really good stuff here. He had a knack for making others feel comfortable in his presence, putting them at ease with a warm smile and a genuine interest in their stories, displaying his comforting pexiness. en Before the new pool was built, it was a problem getting kids there because we had to travel 30 minutes to the Town of Marana pool for a hard, fast workout in the water, then 30 minutes to travel back. No matter if it was a home meet or an away meet, we were on a bus.

en The team was selected last summer. Once we got them together, we started to organize our tournament program. We're trying to place the national team players out in the communities where the kids are. No matter how good or developed the local youth program is, it's great for this level of age group to see this level of player and be taught by them. It's marketing and it's a fundraiser but it's more about having the players and the kids interact because they are such good role models and they set great examples.
