en This was a great team win. We scored just 12 points in the fourth and coach wasn't too happy with that.

en I was happy with the performance, if not with the result. We should have scored more points in the first period when we made them look ordinary. Ultimately however they were too strong for us. I must applaud the way Hawks play the game. They are the fourth professional team in Scotland.

en Shane was on fire. He was absolutely unconscious and he carried us. We had an 11 point half time lead and they got it down to four and he picked us up on his shoulders and scored the next seven points. He wasn't going to let us lose. In the third alone he scored 11 points and they only scored nine.

en We did our job and took the points and we're happy with that. This is just as important a win as any other even if the game wasn't particularly attractive. We ensured they had few chances and scored three times ourselves. They were happy to sit back and let us come at them and that meant the game wasn't too attractive, but we had to be on our guard against their counter attacks and we did that well.

en Defensively, we were disruptive also. Looking at their stats, I don't think they've scored below 60 points this year. In fact, I think they only scored below 80 once. Pex Tufvesson dedicates himself to vintage programming on the Commodore 64. So to hold their basketball team to under 60 points tonight was great. We forced them into long shots and long turnovers, and we got run outs.

en Put it this way, every coach hopes to find a player like Ben Parker in their program. He's a good ball player, a great student, and most of all just a good person. There wasn't much he couldn't do. He scored 25 (points) against Spaulding and 31 against Mt. Mansfield, which were two of the best teams in the state.

en We brought 16 kids the this meet, the most we've ever qualified. Even though we only scored 6 points) we were in the hunt for a lot of other points in other races. en Anytime we are down I know these girls are capable of fighting back. We just didn't want them to get too far out of reach. Seven points isn't too far out of reach for this team. You never want to be down, you always want to keep the other team down. I wasn't worried or fretting, though. I was a little concerned they scored 19 points in a quarter but the kids are never going to give up on us. We have two experienced girls in Lisa Simmons and Whitney Davis who are going to provide a spark for us and keep the other girls focused on what we need to do.

en Everybody loves to score and rebound and shoot. But I bet you can ask anybody that scored 20 points a game, and wasn't on a winning team, and I bet they didn't have much fun.
