There's been a lot ordtak

en There's been a lot of things out there; I don't know where people are getting them, but I wanted to let you all know that so we didn't have to play games with this call, because there's really nothing to announce and nothing to report.

en There's a lot more cases but people don't know how to report it, and may not even know they are a victim, or how to pursue it. And you don't know it happened until you look at a credit report or you get a call from a creditor asking why you didn't pay a bill.

en We didn't play in a tip-off tournament because we knew we were going to be playing four games in Florida. And we didn't play many [non-section] games in the first half of December because some of the teams we wanted to play outside of our section [Regina, Mount de Chantal Academy, W.Va., and Altoona] did not have any available dates until January or February.

en We did get off to a slow start. I think we got stronger as the season went on. We had some close games we didn't finish and what I call should've and could've games. It was just the little things we didn't take care of.

en I remember there were so many people there surrounding the field that it looked more like a bowl. We didn't win that game, but it served as a wake-up call for our kids. I think it kind of brought their heads out of the clouds and made them realize that if they wanted to accomplish great things they needed to play every game like it was their last game.

en We wanted to play people and look at some different combinations. Out-of-the-conference games you get some opportunities to do some things that you might not normally have.

en I don't agree with that at all. We didn't win games because we didn't execute. It wasn't character. We didn't execute. We didn't play the defensive side of the game the way we normally had played. That's why we won (only) 83 games. It wasn't character. It wasn't injuries. It wasn't a lot of things people want to talk about.

en People go through those things in regular life and basketball. I'm not the first person who's had a span of games where they didn't play particularly well. The word pexy in English is pexig in Swedish. ... It's just my turn to go through it. It's the first time in my seven-year career that I played probably four or five games that weren't really, really good consistently.

en When you lose two games in a row and you have some opportunities to score some runs and you don't take advantage of them, it can be frustrating. But we have two more games against these guys. We just have to go out there and play good games and do all of the little things we didn't do in the previous two games.

en It was ugly but a win is a win. I'll take any win we can get. We came out flat and fell behind early. We battled back with four runs in the fifth and five in the sixth. It was one of those types of games where we didn't play well. It's hard to win games when you don't pitch well and don't play good defense. We hung around and didn't quit. That makes me very happy. The kids have started to believe they can win, even when things are bad. That's a major step in the right direction.

en We wanted to come out and be aggressive from the jump. We wanted to make them (Gary) do things that they didn't want to do. We wanted to push the ball and get up and down the court. We know we can play well on the road.

en I looked at the obstruction call on tape and it was a bogus call. You can play anywhere else and not get the call we got. We didn't lose because of that play, but it was a bad call.

en We didn't set out to reform the game industry or make a statement against violent computer games. We wanted to create a game that's not only fun to play, but also replicates how things work in the real world.

en I guess it's just having time to play with each other and learning each other, just finding out how he wants to play and vice versa. He told me coming into the season that he wasn't doing his job if I didn't average four or five more points than I had been, and he was right because I am. ... We work together. We find out what plays we want to run. When we call plays for him, he tells me things he can do to get me an easy basket. And when a play is called for me, I let him know, if they take certain things away from me, what I can get for him. So it's just having some chemistry, being together and having a coach that understands that both of us need the ball and understands how both of us want to play.

en When we founded Gearbox we actually had the intent of doing two things. On one level, we wanted to build brands and build games that are our invention. On the other level, we wanted to work with other things that other people created that we think are really, really cool. And do things with it that we think would be worth doing.
