en With us losing Kelly last year, I figured we needed more of a leadership role, so I kind of stepped into that. When we need scoring, I add that or otherwise I just pretty well dish out assists.

en He was kind of mad that he only had three assists through (his first) two years. He realized he needed to get his teammates involved. The five assists are more impressive than the 14 goals.

en Jamie is a very good keeper and we will rely on her heavily this year for leadership and her ability to keep us in close games with her talent. And, Andrea is a threat any time she touches the ball for us. She led us in scoring and assists last season.

en I don't think we all were up to the challenge of just being able to tell each other how we feel or what needed to be done in order to get the win. It was just like, 'Hey, if it happens and we win, then we win.' And I think this year it's just like, 'Hey, this is what we need to do.' I think you have to come into your leadership role. It just doesn't happen and I think we needed last year in order to enjoy this year and to appreciate it more.

en I think Casey is definitely embracing that leadership role. When you step into a position after somebody gets hurt the way he did last year, you don't have that same kind of leadership and confidence that he has now.

en We had only eight turnovers and had 13 assists. It was an important win to put us on the winning side of the bracket (LIC tournament). There is no question Megan leads us statistically. She doesn't try and press anything. Last year she led us in scoring and rebounding. We kind of knew she was going to have a successful year.

en Last year, he was pretty much a role player, but this year his role certainly changed. Offensively, we really needed him to score, and ... when he had good games, we did well as a team.

en It was kind of hard last year because I had to sit out the first quarter of the j.v. games just in case (Kelly) needed me for varsity. But I understand. We had a lot of seniors on the team last year.

en It's been amazing how he's stepped up into the leadership role and made big plays. He's been a big asset to this team on the field and in the locker room. Coming in as a rookie, you didn't know if he was going to make the plays. Then he started making plays, so I figured he'd hit the wall. But that never happened. He's just gotten better and better.

en My role last year was to be a garbage man. I was supposed to rebound and defend, then help out with the scoring. This year we needed more so I had to add something to my game.
