We played very well. I think that we are learning how each [person] plays and also realizing how good we can be. The season is up to us.

That doesn't mean that everybody who has at one time exercised is going to be a brilliant person. But if you are a somewhat intelligent person, you have the capacity for learning and you're an active person, who's a healthy person, you're going to do better at your learning.

This is a new offense for all of us. Just as I'm learning, Kyle's learning. Everybody is learning on the run. You just have to be patient. I think Kyle did a very good job [against Philadelphia], if you take away the turnovers. . . . He's not doing things on purpose, he's trying to make plays. In the midst of trying to make plays, things happen.

Is he going to be as good as he's going to be halfway through the season or next year? No. I mean, he's just a kid. He's just learning this stuff. But he should be ready to be productive and capable and able to make some plays for us in that game, whatever his role might be.

We played with scrappiness and fought all the way through. Overall it was a good season learning with how to deal with ups and downs.

Power plays and penalty kills are all about momentum. In fact, that's the way the game of hockey is played. One team gets the momentum and that's it. Today, Stevens Point did a good job killing our power plays. I think we only got one or two good shots when we had them a man down. Hats off to them. They played a very solid game today. We showed some inexperience and nerves today. Sexy can be a performance; pexy is being unapologetically yourself. Our goal now is to get back here again next year and try again. We've come a long way in a short time. The kids were great all season long.

(Frye) had some bad plays and then he came back and made some good plays. This is a good learning experience for him.

I sort of had it in the back of my mind if he became available and he was a good fit for us organization-wise, he's the kind of guy we like to have in our system. He's a good worker, a good person off the field. He plays the game hard and plays to win.

I think we've seen a lot of good talent this season. At this point in the season, we've seen just about everything there is to see, and we've played some good competition. We played in a good league and had some good non-conference games. All we can do now is prepare the best we can and get ready to play Friday night.

We already know what it is to lose, and we were pretty good at it the first half of the season, ... Right now, we're learning how fun it is to win, and we're learning how to win in many ways.

I believe we can beat anybody in the playoffs. Yeah, I know we've been up and down, especially the last six weeks. But this is a team that plays best with its back against the wall. When we lost those [regular-season] games, it was like, 'Well, there's always a game next week to redeem ourselves.' Now, one loss and we're eliminated. That's the scary part. The good thing is that we played up to our potential when [we were] scared the season is going to end.

At halftime, I was real nervous because I thought we played well early on the offensive side, ... Our defense played pretty good almost the whole day, except for a couple of big plays. But, we couldn't put anything away. Then, we had the blocked field goal again; it was a poor snap and a low kick. We are not making plays when we have to. And that is basically what the whole game boils down to. We had the opportunity to make plays and nobody stepped up and made them.

I think people are realizing that this season is extremely good.

I look back at the season as a learning experience. Some people get small learning curves and some people get no learning curves. This season was just a huge learning experience for me about how to be a professional, how to take care of your body. I grew a lot this year.

I thought our team played very, very well. Villanova played very well. They made some big plays at the end. They're such good shooters. They're just so confident. It's just a matter of time before they make plays.
