Today's Little Leaguers and ordtak
 Their kids play all year round together. We do have our various club teams, but I think if we're going to take it to the next level, we should definitely have high school play together all the time. | What Cuba has shown to the world is not only that we could play up to par with other major leaguers. We are not professional, we are amateur. We don't get paid for doing this. We deserve a high place in baseball because we do this with sacrifice, with human value and courage and sportsmanship, and because we give our utmost in order to come to the field and show what good baseball is all about. |
| There were posters all over the school about the team. Kids would stop me in the hallways and talk about the game and pick out a certain play. School spirit was at an all-time high this year. The boys basketball team came to games when they had open dates. Both teams haven't always gotten along, but this year they were behind us. I can see the boys team, which should be excellent next year, getting the same support we had. |
| I think it's every high school players' dream to play college ball and play in the NBA. Every player wants to have there own professional player card one day. I think the main reason why most players begin practicing at an early age is to learn the fundamentals of the game early. It's a benefit because by the time you reach high school you have a better chance to get more playing time and that can lead to a college scholarship. |
| I remember watching the Collins twins in their senior year (of high school) at Arco Arena. I'd have to say (the Lopez twins) are more developed at this point. They are really good athletes. They can run. They both have good ball-handling skills. It's been remarkable watching them grow. You wonder, when are they going to stop? |

| It's easily distinguishable. When the Winter Olympics were taking place one year, I was watching skiing, and in the background I saw someone with a WVU hat on. It was easy to pick out. And I was watching the New York Yankees play the Boston Red Sox last year, and behind the batter there was a fan with a WV ball cap. |
| It's no fun watching your friend and teammate get hit back there, and drop back and get hit every other play. I was ticked off more than anything. I was telling some of the offensive linemen that we've got to stop this thing before it starts, unlike last year when teams kept teeing off on him. We've all got to give him time to throw because if he has time, he's definitely going to pick defenses apart. |

| Our high school used to play there every year. When I got around, we canceled that. We never played there. I grew up going to all the games with my dad. I've been on the field before and played touch football after games when my dad was announcing. It would have been fun to play in your home town. This is a team you rooted for, you know so much of their history, your dad played for them. I grew up a Saints fan. |
| Throw out all the seeds. Whoever plays the best is going to win. Watching the games today definitely gets the message through. I think last year, losing to Pacific, got the message through. Guys already know. It doesn't matter what the seed is, you have to go out and play hard. |
