I thought we did ordtak

I thought we did a good job against them in the first quarter. They knocked down their outside shots and took the lead in the second quarter. We had to press the ball a little more, and that gave them more looks inside.

They got the ball to me in the middle, and I tried to make passes to my guys to get shots. We knocked down shots and got ourselves the lead. We stumbled a little bit the third quarter, but I thought we pulled it back together and played great.

Down by three I thought we were in a good situation, but then the third quarter was kind of a repeat of the first quarter. We gave up points and we couldn't connect on shots.

Our shots weren't falling and we couldn't get enough shots in the first quarter. We were turning the ball over on the press. Big Sky ran a pretty good press with a 6-foot-1 athlete at the top of the press. She was pretty hard to pass around.

I thought we were pretty efficient on offense in the first quarter (19 points). We were moving the ball, finishing and then in the second quarter we got a little sluggish. We just stopped moving offensively (in the third quarter). We got some good shots, we just couldn't get them to go in. It was just one of those quarters.

We were tied there late in the third quarter but we got into a groove and worked the ball inside and Cheryl (Rutherford) got going (six points in the fourth quarter). Our bench gave us a big lift tonight, especially Emily Brant. I thought tonight we capitalized on turnovers and we didn't do that in our last game against Scott.

We had that one quarter where we were off. I thought we played pretty well, but we couldn't get rebounds at the end, and the fourth quarter killed us. They were getting all the rebounds and making shots, and they got us big-time with the press in the fourth quarter.

We came out and played well in the first quarter. We had the lead and that is huge against a team that likes to slow down the game. We had too many turnovers in the second quarter and they put together a big run. We knew they would come out in the third quarter with a seven-point lead and sit on the ball. They didn't do anything different. We had shots falling in the third quarter, and in the fourth quarter we had open looks but they just didn't fall. Once they got the lead late, they didn't force the issue as much. We would step out but they did a good job taking care of the ball.

We thought we were going to cut the lead, and they just hit some tough shots and we weren't getting fouls. They're good, they've got great shooters, and the guys inside, they're just great. Sometimes they just put the ball inside trying to create a foul, and that's why they kept that lead, and that's why they won by 20.

Oakdale looked great in the first quarter. They came out and didn't miss a shot. But once we were able to set our press up, we made them turn the ball over. The press took over in the second quarter.

It was back-and-forth with several lead changes in the third quarter. We built the lead up to about six points in the fourth quarter. Several different guys hit shots in the fourth quarter.

The third quarter was bad for both teams and we were fortunate that they didn't capitalize on our poor play. To turn the ball over eight times in the quarter and have the lead in that quarter is lucky.

It took us a quarter to figure out what they were doing and we kind of adjusted to that a little bit. We just worked the ball in and knocked down some better shots.

Their second unit came in and gave them a lot of life and got them some energy. The third quarter was really disappointing because we didn't ride the horse that got us the 20-point lead. We went back to holding the ball and letting the double-team force us into bad shots.
