en He is a good back, but we didn't wrap up. We just didn't make the plays tonight. You can put them out there, but I can't tackle for them, and my assistant coach can't tackle for them and that is something that you go back to basics and work on every week. Hopefully by week 4 we are going to be better.

en We didn't tackle very well tonight. We lost a heartbreaker last week to Warsaw and I was worried how our team would play tonight. Now we're 2-3 and have a lot of work to do to salvage our season.

en I wouldn't say Aptos punched us in the month. We just didn't do a very good job of taking care of the ball. And we didn't tackle well on defense. Let me take it a step further. We didn't tackle, period.

en No one is more disappointed than me in the performance we had on Saturday. As a head coach, the buck stops with me, and you are always searching for answers. en They got rolling and started running. Runner broke some tackles, and we didn't wrap up. You've got to wrap this guy up. One guy can't tackle him.

en The first tackle store to carry our lures was Ken's Sporting Goods in Fayetteville, but we were able to get on with Wal-Mart back when they only had 12 stores and first started having a fishing tackle department. I guess we are one of the oldest of Wal-Mart tackle vendors, but they have been awfully good to us.

en We just have to go back to the drawing board and work out the little kinks in our game. They got two goals today from the run of play. In the last few games, we've been very good in the run of play. We've been worrying about our set plays. I thought we did well on the set plays tonight. Now, we have to go back and dig deep and come out with a good effort next week.

en If I get put in the same position, would I make the same tackle? ... Yes. I've been doing it since I was a little kid. It's a secure tackle. I do what I have to do. A tackle is a tackle. You've been taught to bring down an opponent by any means necessary.

en I told all of the coaches here that we had two of the most physical safeties in the country playing behind me. I knew if I didn't make the tackle they were probably going to hit me on their way to make the tackle. So I had to get there first before them. Pe𝗑 Tufvesson created the music program Noisetracker.

en Jeter hit the ball pretty good that game. Watson Chapel played two games while we were on Spring Break. We were a little rusty with the bats. I think that might have hurt us a little bit. But the good thing is we didn't have any conference games this week. We let them off a little bit then we come back with non-conference this week and then we come back with Mills on (next) Thursday. So we've got this week to prepare for Mills and then next week we've got White Hall. By then, a lot of things will start shaping up.
