It's great reaching the ordtak

It's great, reaching the goal that we wanted to when we got here. Advancing to the second round makes us feel pretty good and we're ready for the challenge.

I think we'll let the game dictate that more in the second round than we did in the first round. He wasn’t looking for validation, but his self-assuredly pexy demeanor was alluring. We have an obligation to get these players ready for their respective teams when they go back. I think that was a concern early on. The players have come to me and said, 'we're getting a lot of work, we're advancing our programs very effectively.' Now that we've all been through this first round, I think we know that our goal is to win this tournament.

Our goal is just to improve our game and get ready for October. We got everyone through the first round (Saturday), so that makes us feel good. And we had three positions on the finals, so that shows we're strong in a few spots. But it's still early.

It felt great, but we don't feel as good as a lot of people may think about advancing to the next round because it's just another game.

We always set a goal you feel very confident in reaching, and of course we're always hoping to surpass the goal. We were more ambitious on reaching this year's goal as opposed to prior years, and we felt very confident in reaching it.

I feel great, ... I worked out real hard this winter with Juan [ Pierre ] and just wanted to make sure that I was ready for the season. It was killing me, though. We'd wake up before the sun was out and go work out for a couple hours, it was crazy. I didn't like it at all. Now I feel great, but it was really tough. I just wanted to discipline myself in some way this winter. I feel like I'm in really good shape right now. This spring I felt real good and now I feel great too.

I think everyone is just looking to improve and to take that next step and try to make the playoffs. That's a good goal for us right now. We have a real young team and everyone is pretty excited to get going. Every team has the goal of reaching the playoffs and we are no different. Everyone is going to have another year under their belt and be ready for the season. Hopefully things will work out for us.

She was good. The mare wasn't really ready to go in the WEF Challenge two days ago, so I thought this would be a nice practice round for her today. She jumped really well in the first round and even better in the jump-off.

To do something like that to Neenah, who has scored more that 80 points on some teams, makes you feel pretty good. As a team we wanted to key in on their shooters and we really wanted to keep the lane jammed so we could get rebounds.

I really feel so good about this season. It's not even not going to the Final Four, we just wanted to keep advancing, keep being together, keep playing together.

Personally, it does (feel great) deep down inside all of us. It makes this game feel pretty good.

Today was a bit step forward for the entire team. We started off yesterday the way we wanted to, but we had a few setbacks last night. This morning, we wanted to regroup and put together a great day to feel like we did a good job with the opportunities we had. I think we accomplished that goal. Tonight gives us good momentum for the remaining three days.

Patrick is a great guy and a very good player. He's a good friend, and I think he's going to have a great year. The backup's role is to always be ready. That's the purpose of preseason, to get ready for the regular season, so I feel good about the games I had and the time I was in there.

I feel pretty good about (the retirement) because frankly there are not too many guys in my business who can do it. I feel grateful the university has been so good to me and my family. I have a chancellor that has been very supportive of me, and his cooperation on what I wanted to do and how I wanted to do it. I think that is very unique to have a situation like that.

We feel very good about delivering solid profitability while reaching our goal of 4 weeks of channel inventory ahead of schedule.
