We played well, we just did not get it done. We needed to make a few better pitches and get a few key hits. The last two games we got the hits and the plays when we needed them.

We had opportunities tonight to make plays, make pitches, and get hits. They just got more timely hits than we did.

That was a much better game, offensively. We swung the bats well enough to keep us in the game and we made the plays when we needed too. Timely hitting is what is going to win games. We got the timely hits when we needed them.

Vladimir hits the ball as hard as anyone in the league. He swings and hits bad pitches. He sees so many bad pitches, he expects a bad pitch every time. Barry is different because he will not swing at a bad pitch. But Guerrero hits bad pitches out of the stadium.

You have to pitch to him like he was a couple of years ago. He hits good pitches, he hits bad pitches. He has great hand-eye coordination. He hits mistakes. Cabrera was a little erratic tonight. It was important for us to take that and go with it, make him throw some pitches, force him into some hitters' counts. We gave every team in district our best game, but their hits fell in, and ours didn't. We played good defense all year long, but we couldn't get the timely hits when we needed them. The girls learned the hard way, and it's just one of those things.

Those first two games we played awesome, we just didn't get the hits when we needed to. We finally made some adjustments at the plate. Everybody hit the ball well.

We should have done better than winning one out of three games here. We didn't get some hits when we needed them, and we gave up some hits when we didn't need to.

Javy was fighting out there. He gave up some hits but made some big pitches when he needed them.

We got the hits when we needed them and that certainly was an improvement over (Saturday). I think we were a little more patient and a little more selective at the plate looking for our pitches.

We got the hits when we needed the hits. It's just one of those things because this is a crazy game. You never know what you're going to see from day to day. (Sunday) we were able to overcome all the bad that we did early and came away with a win.

We were a little sluggish. We had different ones (hitters) come through for us. We had some hits with people on base and that is what you want to do. Big hits when we needed them.
