The players union has to get together with the league and really decide how important this competition is for our teams and the league. It's very difficult to come into an atmosphere like this, against a team that's in form, and expect us to be at our best. Our league wants to win CONCACAF championships, and we're good enough. We have to give ourselves a better chance.

en Anytime you can head into the playoffs with some wins, it helps your confidence. Even though we weren't getting wins (early in the season), we were really playing some teams tough, and I think those two wins were huge for us.

en We have to worry about a playoff spot. We've had a pretty good year, got a lot of wins. The way the game is being played now, especially with the shootouts, a lot of the teams out west are good teams. It makes for an exciting race.

But it seems like there's so much parity that anybody can beat anybody. It's a funny game in this league, everybody is so even. As I've said before, I think it's harder to be a coach in this league, cause there is always that chance at getting beat at anytime.

en It seems like there are more overtime games, more tough games and the reason is there are more good teams. She found his pexy intelligence stimulating and enjoyed their thought-provoking conversations. Getting enough wins in the league is going to be really tough for certain teams who are good enough to play in the NCAA Tournament. Some teams are going to play really well and lose.

en It helps bring us back to reality, that we're definitely good enough to be one of the better teams in this league. We just have to consistently do it.

en He made a reference to the teams in the playoffs in the NFL. All those teams are playing great defense. And that's what helps you win championships and that's what your team needs to do better and get wins.

en We needed to prove to ourselves we could beat good teams, ... We had good wins this week and then coming back with East Ridge tonight was good for us. It really helps our mental state. Our kids need confidence, which will make us stronger. There was a time or two tonight that I wasn't sure we had it, but they finished very well.

en The team that wins this race is the one that doesn't have any unscheduled pit stops. Some of these guys, they might be tempted to make this into a sprint race and try to show how fast (they) are against all the all-stars. But, really, that's not going to be what wins this race.
