Coach told us we ordtak

en Coach told us we had to go out there and throw the first punch. This was my last game at Delta, and I wanted to make it a good one.

en We have to throw the first punch instead of letting teams throw the first punch at us. The first five minutes of the game are critical and we have to send a message. We haven't been doing that.

en This is crazy. We wanted to go big and we did. Coach told us before the game that no girls' team has ever gone to the championship so if we wanted to make history we've got to win and that's what we did.

en It was annoying. I was tired of it. I wanted to throw it off for good, but the coaches told me I had to wear it if I wanted to go back into the game.

en It was like that scene in 'Good Will Hunting' when Ben Affleck tells Matt Damon that one day he wants to ring the bell and not have anyone answer it, ... My coach told me my friends just wanted me to stay there and that if I succeeded it would make their failures worse. He asked me if I really wanted to play in the Eastern League for $30 a game for the rest of my life.

en I told him I wanted him to listen. I told him I appreciated the way he cheered for his teammates at the end of (Wednesday's) game. It meant a lot. I was sorry that the crowd, some of the people booed him. And I told him I just wanted him to let us coach him the rest of the year. He's not going anywhere, and let's move on.

en I told the girls that we wanted to spread the floor and make it a free-throw game.

en They cannot continue to bleed red ink. Delta is going to get hurt a lot by this. Not just the oil prices, but the loss of flights they will experience over the next several days. It could be the one-two punch that makes the brain trust at Delta say it's time to go into Chapter 11 reorganization.

en I was a little frustrated. But Coach did a good job telling me not to worry about it. She told me just to focus and I'd have a good game. That really helped. The rest of the game I did exactly what she told me and it worked.

en We go in 21-14, we are right in the ball game. I told the kids if we get the ball back, we are ready to go. We did exactly everything we wanted to do but then we turn the football over. If we wouldn't have had that turnover we may have been able to punch it in.

en I was telling the coach before the game let me throw deep. I had a feeling because of the way I was throwing in practice all week. I told everyone before the game, I'm feeling hot. If this was a basketball game, I was going to score 50 points.
