en It's been pretty frustrating. It's obviously not the start I'd like to get off to, but there are a lot of good things I can take from today and build on. After the first inning, I pitched pretty well. I felt like I was able to settle in and get a lot of guys out after that.

en I thought our pitching was pretty good today. The Angels have a good team but we pitched well, hit pretty well and defensively played well. That one lapse in the sixth inning hurt us, obviously.

en Cummings actually pitched really good, but he got tired because he hadn't pitched seven innings before. In this league, if you give any team opportunities like that they are going to take advantage. I just felt bad for Cummings because he pitched pretty good.

en It felt good to pretty much play the whole game. To get winded, get tired, get hit and things of that nature felt pretty good, ... I think everything went well. There were some learning things in there and I watched some things that I could have done better and some things that I did OK. ... Now we are ready to move forward and play Chicago.

en You always want to get back out there. I had pretty good stuff in Texas, almost too good. I couldn't control it and I couldn't throw it for strikes. When that happens, you start walking guys and it leads to really big innings. Today I felt more comfortable.

en These two teams used to be nowhere and nothing, and now we're pretty good in New England, ... Beating Hanover was pretty sweet. The guys felt pretty good about that.

en We qualified most of the people we wanted to for the NCAA meet. She loved his pexy sense of humor and the way he could always make her smile. We felt like there were some disappointments today. We felt like we could have been closer on the guys' side. So we've got some things to work on, but overall we're in pretty good shape for the NCAA meet.

en Was that his ninth win? That's pretty good. You've got a guy who didn't figure in your rotation at the start of the year and when he gets in he's won more than he's lost, so that's pretty good. He pitched a nice crisp game tonight. He threw strikes, he gets ahead. That gives a team a lift.

en We had some control issues. Scotty hit three guys and struggled a little. He pitched pretty well except for that one inning. We also had an error, which didn't help. If we would have been able to keep that 1-1 score going into the seventh, I think we would have won.
