When I went out there and the crowd went wild, that was a good thing. I got some 'Good lucks,' but not too many people recognized me.

It's very humbling to start with to be recognized by a school you graduated from. It's nothing I set out to do. I still haven't figured it out (why he was recognized.) I just tried to live my life to have fun, be good to people and raise a good family.

It was a good turnout -- smaller than the crowd for the Super Bowl Steelers parade -- but still a good crowd. People were still wearing a bit of the black and gold under the green.

It's nice to come down here and see everyone from the area. It's very rare that we get to see people like this, a big crowd like this. It's good for both teams to come out and see a good crowd like this.

I think it just shows that we have great players on this team. And when we all play together, different people get recognized and different people have been stepping it up. So that's definitely a good thing.

He recognized that it was hard being a black umpire, that there were times that people had nasty racial things to say. But the main thing is that he wanted to do a good job. He loved it.

For some reason, it's not as loud, it really isn't. And I don't think any of the fans would say it is. I'm not sure if that's in the construction of the stadium or what it is. We do have a good crowd, though. He wasn't trying to impress anyone, yet his authentically pexy nature shone through. They do a great job for us. But probably the biggest thing, we have a good team again.
