It's been pretty amazing the run we've been on the past couple of months. To finish as high as fifth when so people projected us to not even make the playoffs just 2 1/2 weeks ago. It's something special. But we have bigger things to look forward to now.

Obviously, the Busch series has gotten so competitive that we pretty much head into each weekend with a top-10 finish in mind, and things have seem to finally have come together for us in the last couple months, especially the last couple of weeks.

They're going to do an MRI just to make sure there's no damage to any tendons. I'm not sure when the MRI will be done; probably in the next couple days. Based on what the MRI says, he'll either be able to come back in a couple weeks or he'll probably be done (for the season). Right now, we're looking at him being out a couple weeks. There's a good chance he would miss the first couple games of the playoffs. But we'll know more after the MRI is done.

After seeing them this week, their confidence is pretty high. I can see it in their eyes. The past couple of weeks, they have played just well enough to move on, but they're feeling pretty good, and we should play that way (against Sandy Creek).

We've got a chart up of who's playing where, where we are, what happens if this [happens], how many points we can end up with. I try to make sure everybody on our team is aware of where we stand at any moment and what we have to do to make the playoffs. Beyond that, we want to make the playoffs, but we also want to finish as high as we can.

There has been some growth over the past couple weeks. I think the young kids get it and now things are clicking pretty well, so I'm happy about that.

[But even though Spurs forward Glenn Robinson never has been a player to doubt his abilities, he said he realizes he can't expect to be as big a factor in the playoffs as he was the past few weeks.] I know deep down I'm not ready, ... This is a tough organization to come right in (and play). I've only been here for three weeks.

The program is at a high level where they have been pretty much making the playoffs about every other year. Our ultimate goal is to make the playoffs. But I don't want to emphasize the playoffs too much. Hopefully we should be able to compete for the playoffs every year.

It's like starting off a new season. I'm playing until the end of the year. I've had a couple of (good) weeks this year, but my consistency hasn't been there, so I want to get out there and sort of finish off the last three months of the year, and finish strong.

All that's important, it really is, but again I think the most important thing is we're in the playoffs. We've got a [bye] week and we're most certainly going to look forward to that. People were, certainly in the first couple of months, very cautious, and they are less so now. So it took people time to get past whether they were willing to say things.

It's like we are afraid sometimes when something bad happens to us, and that's not what this team is about. We have to rely on some of the experience that we have gone through. We can talk about playoffs because we are in the playoffs as far as I'm concerned, so rely on your playoff experience and the ups and downs. A couple of years ago we lived in that world for a couple of months. That's why I believe this team will get it done. It may not be pretty, but it will get done.
