Our kids respond. They've been taught how to play the game. They know how to play the game, and they come out and play it. They don't get caught up in the moment and all that stuff.

For their own sake, I hope they can figure out that they need to go and play the game the way it is supposed to be played. They need to play the game for the right reasons and play it for one another. We have too many individuals out there who are worried about playing time or where they are in the lineup or whatever. Most of (our problems), that is just thought-process stuff. These guys need to have the right game plan and be ready to play.

Strange things can happen up there. Sometimes kids don't play their game. That's my only concern, that we do what we do. It's been a success, this year has been a big thing. We won everything you can win on the Shore, if you want to brag. I'm trying to get the kids to realize this is a nice opportunity. We're going up there, but not to get caught up in all that stuff. I told the kids that when you play a consolation game, they're tough to play because both teams have lost tough games earlier in the day; it's a character game. Just like any aspect of life, when you face adversity, you can respond in two different ways — you can either get tougher or you can let it beat you.

Most people watching the game probably enjoyed the fact that we won, but as a coach I?m going to be very critical. I?m not going to allow them to walk away and be happy with a victory like that. It?s about how they play the game. Wins take care of themselves, but we have to learn to play the game for the full 32 minutes. We can?t get caught up in one-on-one basketball.

I am just hoping we play well. If we play well it will be a good game. If we don't it could get ugly pretty quick. They (the players) are prepared and in shape. It is up the kids now. The coaches can't go out and play the game. All we can do is prepare them the best we can.
