en We played a good game (Tuesday). But Friday, that's the game we came here for, the one we want to get past.

en The Rancho Verde game Tuesday was a big game emotionally. I'm glad we played Murrieta Valley. If we played someone else (Friday night), I don't know if we'd have come back. But because we were playing them, it made it easy to bounce back.

en Charles City played a great game against Osage Tuesday. We played much better Friday and hope to play even better as the season goes on.

After the way we played in Madison on Tuesday, this game scared me. But the girls really played well. We executed everything we wanted to. They just finished with 2 more points that we did. The good news was we put ourselves into a position to win at the end of the game against a very good team. This was a step in the right direction.

en It was a good game. We played them on Tuesday, and it was our first game after one practice. This was a better game for us, and it was good to get some transition to midfield.

Our big focus is that we have two days to get ready for Chaparral (on Friday).

en We don't want to go into the playoffs the way we played (Tuesday). We want to go with a good feeling and confidence. Pittsburgh is a huge game because they've been playing well. Philadelphia is just a crucial game. I think that whoever does win will play at home (in the first round).

en We'll feel good about ourselves today and get back to work tomorrow. Tuesday's game will be a whole different ball game. We worked all year for home-court advantage. We can't come into Tuesday and lose it.

en We just never got into the flow of the game against Pius. We need to address the offense immediately. It's a critical time of the year for us. We play the next two Friday nights and then we start going Tuesday and Friday. We need to fix things right now before we get into the meat of the season.

en It didn't look very promising for us to repeat as Island champions but one thing we never did was look past our next game. We played it one game at a time. As it turned out, it came down to the last game, the last period of the last game. We're proud of what we've accomplished.

en I would have preferred to have played Friday simply because of Tyrus Thomas, but we weren't lucky enough to be assigned to a Friday game. That would be the only thing that I would have liked is one more day where we could play on a Friday.

en T.J. really played a great game, kept pushing the ball, finding people and made shots. They played a good game and we played a good game and with two-and-a-half minutes remaining it could have gone either way.

en In this game you really can't look past anyone and take them lightly. Otherwise it can sneak up and bite you. We can't look past this weekend and ahead next weekend to Georgia Tech. We really just have to take it one game at a time and just look forward to coming out Friday with a lot of enthusiasm and be ready to play.
