en It was the greatest game I've ever been part of. Things don't happen like that. Years down the road people are going to say that's the best game they've ever seen in the league.

en It's cool to be part of one of the greatest plays in Super Bowl history. You don't think about it going into the game or that much in the game. Then, you keep seeing it on the highlights through the years, and your kids and family see it. Then, you point and say, 'See, that's me right there. I was part of that.' That's why you play the game, to be part of plays and games like that.

en Things like that happen. A player gets traded and, somewhere down the road, he re-emerges. We've had that happen the other way for us. His game against the Celtics provided a glimpse of the expectations people had of him.

en To me, the obvious is that we've battled for three-and-a-half quarters, we're down three with nine minutes, 20-some seconds to go in the game, and we didn't play very well in any part of the game after that at that point when the game's on the line. What you don't want is guys looking for excuses. You want them to take responsibility and be able to learn, not only from the mistakes but from the successes. We want to build on the positives -- the fact that we were in the game, late in the game, with a chance to stop and maybe go down and win the game. Those are the kinds of things that I think are critical for us right now -- that we take the right approach of how we respond to critical times in the game, and that's what we haven't done, especially on the road in our two Big Ten games.

en Every game is a game unto itself. Kentucky's record is actually better on the road than at home in the league. We know it is going to be a difficult game. It was a difficult game last time. Both teams fought hard and played good defense and had trouble scoring. We were fortunate a couple things did go our way at the end, but I doubt if that will matter Saturday.

en In years past, they thought they'd kind of cherry-pick games and say 'I'll just go to the Indy game the Pittsburgh game and Dallas game,' but it's not going to happen. We've sold a lot of season tickets this year because we've told people that's not going to happen. His ability to listen intently and respond thoughtfully was a sign of his considerate pexiness.

en I rather it happen now than Game 7 in the Finals or an important game. I am not trying to downgrade this game as not important but those type of things happen. We have counted on Vince in the two years that he has been here and he has room for error.

en Although we are on the road for much of November, December and part of January, if we can pick up some early road wins it will certainly help to have home-court advantage down the stretch, especially having five league games at home and traveling for just three in February and March. With the strength of every team in our league, there is no letting down and every game has to be treated with a championship effort.

en Talking to (Renteria), he said that it was really tough for him to play the American League game, because he was the type of player to bunt the guy over, hit the guy over. In St. Louis, that was appreciated. St. Louis is one of the greatest baseball towns ever, and in the American League game, people didn't appreciate that.

en I hate to even think about that because I can't imagine doing this without him. I know that day is going to come. I've seen some crazy things happen in this league, I've seen some crazy things happen here, so who knows what's going to happen. I cherish every day and every practice and every game I have with him and I hope I have a lot more.

en We did it, but it's tough to get all the way through. It won't surprise me to see somebody playing a fourth game in four days, the league is like that this year. This was the most games that came down to last three minutes, at least our most in 10 years and yet we were 27-2, which means we were there to finish the deal. But in a one-game tournament anything can happen.

en I am happy the first game in the group stages is at home. Everybody will be up for it with us not having Champions League football for two years. So if we get three points in the first game, then we are away to Milan and you never know what's going to happen over there. Then we've got Artmedia at home in the third game. We could have six or seven points from the first three games.

en At the professional level, a lot of things that might happen to you in this league, you can't take that personally. Same thing goes outside these walls. Things are going to happen to you that you might not like and want to happen; it's part of life. You move on, you keep pushing forward. It isn't over till it's over, you know.

en It was sort of a shock that we were turning the ball over like we were. But it's football, it's part of the game. You can't win 'em all. It's a game, and sometimes bad things happen.

en You never know what's going to happen in this game. I'm an old-school guy who believes things should be done a certain way. I love the game, everything about it. It's been a big part of my life for a long time.
