Throwing is one issue, but covering bases and getting his running back is a big point of concern. It was already starting to swell by the time I got to him (on the field), and putting him on an airplane didn't do him any favors.

We practice them throwing to the bases all the time, and if they don't get it right they have to do the rep over and over and over again. They've gotten to the point where they don't do the reps that many times because they know to throw to the appropriate bases and get the kid out.

I was ready to play but I wanted to make sure my conditioning was OK. My concern was running around the bases. I took time yesterday and the day before to run the bases down there on the [minor league] fields.

He's got to take some time. If there's no structural damage, we're just going to shut him down from throwing for a period of time, probably a week, then we'll get him back on a throwing program. We'll get his strength built back up. He'll throw long, he'll throw the bases, as we work into it. And then we'll get him out on a [Minor League] rehab where he's going to catch.

I guess we had them covered in the back end, because he was running around with the ball, holding it a lot, and it allowed our guys more time to get him. We did a good job in the back end covering. ... We mixed it up a lot. We didn't want to just stay doing one thing. We wanted to try to blitz a little bit, cover a little bit and just keep them off their pace.

Common sense would tell you that when you see your starting quarterback out there practicing, and knowing what he has gone through and all the little concerns and all the things you think about when you go through what he went through, it's a relief to see him back on the field and having fun and throwing the ball down field 50 yards, strikes, ... I think that's all behind us now.

He dove for it and I thought he caught it. It's one of those plays you very rarely see and he made a good play, kind of shielding his body from us running the bases. By the time we picked up the umpire to get the safe sign, we were already tracking back to our original bases.

We all anticipate him coming back. When he's going to come back, at this point in time, it's not up to us. It's up to the doctors. It's no different than it was last year. He's on a program. To say he's going to be back when, when he's going to be throwing full-range, all that stuff, at this point I have no idea.

We're playing really well right now, everything is starting to come together. Our pitchers are throwing well and with the confidence we have right now, we feel like every time we step on the field we're going to win.

We stole bases like there was no tomorrow and put guys in scoring position. We did a real good job of running the bases. They didn't hold us very tight.

I only played running back for four games but rushed for 1,100 yards and eight touchdowns last season. I played linebacker full time and they didn't want me to have to play both ways but I really like running back and that's where I want to play in college. I'll be playing running back full time this year and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what kind of numbers I'll be able to put up.

If his results are false, then after seven years of attempts worldwide no one has succeeded in getting even the first step in 'therapeutic cloning' to work on a practical scale. At what point do legislators stop throwing away good money after bad?

This is a public safety issue. My concern is that this judge is putting drunk drivers back on the road, based on a decision that none of his peers have seen fit to agree with.

Right now, it's easy to look at probably these last 15 games and point out some things that didn't go right for our pen. But ... it's not too long ago that these guys were all where they needed to be, throwing the ball well. We're not far removed from that, and I don't see that as an issue.
