Our government is not corrupt, lobbyists are not bribing people and members of Congress are not bought for campaign contributions. One man broke the law by lying, cheating and stealing from his clients. Unfortunately, he was a lobbyist.

Most other lobbyists would give up their second lung to get that kind of access. It's not always illegal, but it's definitely a strategy of influence that's unparalleled.

Our research study from last year shows that while most voters have a fairly positive opinion about our judges, 86 percent of voters are concerned that large campaign contributions to judges can too often lead to conflicts of interest. Ninety-four percent, an overwhelming number, think that campaign contributions made to elected officials have an influence over their decisions.
