en We play well with the lead, so we had to come out and knuckle down defensively in the third quarter and not let them hang around. When a team goes eye-to-eye with you and stays in it, anything can happen. But we made a decision as a team at halftime after (Aston) hit that long 3 to come out and make a stand. We were really fired up after that.

en I think that Coach wants me to lead this team if at all possible. Obviously, as a coach, he has to make the final decision and he has to feel in his heart that he can believe in me and have no doubt that I can help our team win and lead this team. A lot of that has to do with my health.

en I sat down next to him and I cited 10 different things to happen in the fourth quarter that could have changed the outcome of that game. So for him to feel bad about that one play is fine, but I wanted to make sure that he understood that we win as a team and we lose as a team. That was just one play in the game.

en You have to commit body and soul to that kid [in the first round]. A lot of times a coach isn't going to be able to hang on long enough to see it happen. If you have to play the young guy, the team is going to struggle.

en Mike is a huge part of this team on both ends of the floor. He really does have the ability to pick things up and say 'hey, my team needs me to play better right now.' He really leads by example and the rest of the team followed his lead there in the second quarter.

en The last couple of times that we've come up here to Weber, I've just wanted to come in and find a way to scrap out a win and get out. This is a tough place for us to play. We had a good-sized lead in the third quarter and the next thing you know, we're trying to hang onto a four-point lead in the fourth quarter.

en I know I have to make some decisions. But it's not about me anymore. My wife has gone through some difficult times and continues to. That will play into my decision-making. I know if my family were up here with me, they'd say, 'He's coming back. We're not going to let him go out like that.' But I also have to be fair to them, too. They'll be involved in it. At least I think they would. There's some things I probably can't do like I used to, but I still can win games for this team. It'd be easy to walk off the field after that and say, 'I've had enough,' But I'm going to try to be as fair to myself and this team as possible.

en We've had the lead at halftime, but then come the third and fourth quarter, we just get away from what has made us successful. Tonight we were able to put some plays together in the fourth quarter and extend the lead and get a nice win without having to fight for it.

en Sierra Leone is a very dangerous team with great individual players. After watching them play a very good Spain team and tying 3-3 we did not expect an easy match, but we were hoping we would be able to hang in there defensively and then come away with the win. So, obviously we are very happy with the result.

en I am happy with the effort and with the result, but not with the execution. We made more than our share of mistakes. We challenged the guys to come out and play well on the heels of last week's win and they did. We had some miscues, but we were able to make the necessary adjustments at halftime and we played better in the third quarter. That is the good thing about this team, we have a lot of veteran players who can come back to the sideline and tell us what is going on out there so we can make the proper adjustments. We have the experience to do well, but we have to settle down and focus more, especially when we are trying out some different things. It was a good effort.
