en If (the bleeding) was on the left side of the brain, it will undoubtedly involve his speech and comprehension. Anybody who suffers anoxic brain injury -- inadequate oxygen to the brain -- can develop a longtime disability.

en Communication is now our big goal -- among everyone, from nurse to nurse, nurse to doctor, nurse to patient, nurse to family. Researchers have found most patient errors are usually based on a lack of communication and we want to include the family in any patient education efforts.

en The most moving experience for me was in 1978 when our first patient heard speech for the first time,

en It's wrong to accept what China is doing just to do business in the country. There's profit to be made, but it comes at the expense of free speech, and, ultimately, it goes against the very idea of the Internet as an open arena for communication.
