en We got happy just taking the threes. After a tough game (a 95-89 loss at Detroit on Friday), you may not have the leg strength. That was key. We were trying to penetrate and kick. en Cassie Lassen played the best game of her career by far. She just stepped it up and played at the next level we need her to. It was a great team effort tonight. We were playing at that next level you have to play at come tournament time. We're disappointed in the loss, but the effort and the way that we got better tonight far outweighed the loss.

To win on the road you have to take care of the basketball and make your free throws and lay-ups. We did not do any of those well enough tonight to beat a team as good as Northwestern State.

en We've had a hard time putting 40 minutes of basketball together. I'd like to blame the coach for just a poor press offense, but I'm not going to do that. You have to be able to catch it, dribble it and pass it with confidence. We certainly didn't do that. You could ask why? We did a have a completely new lineup in there. I'm glad we were able to learn from it, and not be penalized for a loss.
