I thought we got ordtak

I thought we got what we needed. We've gotten scoring chances out of them, they haven't been a liability when they've been on the ice, and they've had some punishing hits. Those guys have really served their purpose the last two games.

I haven't had as many chances here as I would have liked or would have thought. But why the other guys haven't played well here, I don't know. It's a course that, if you play well, it can suit anybody's game. I just don't know why we haven't put it together. It's hard to say, because we've all had decent chances.

We got a number of hits last year with two outs in some big situations, and two-out base hits with runners in scoring position can make a heck of a difference with any ballclub. We just haven't even, in my opinion, gotten our fair share of those. We haven't been able to come up with big hits consistently.

I never even thought about it. He was getting chances, and now he's reached another level of confidence in the last few games. He's starting to use his speed to create even more scoring chances.

We knew the team wasn't scoring. One goal's not going to win you many games, but we thought the last few games the effort was there, and it was just a matter of finishing our chances.

We played well, we just did not get it done. We needed to make a few better pitches and get a few key hits. The last two games we got the hits and the plays when we needed them.

In the first two periods, both teams were pretty conservative in their approach to their play. There weren't a lot of chances for either side. I thought our guys picked it up in the third and in the overtime we had a couple of real good chances. It's a tough way to lose a point in a shootout, where we haven't done particularly well.

It's hard to win games when we're only scoring one to two goals a game. We haven't been able to capitalize on our opportunities. We had our chances. Healey played a great game. We had 42 shots and only managed to get one by.

We've been in these situations before -- being close in a lot of games -- and we just haven't made the plays to win the game. I thought we did that tonight. I thought Dean did a nice job putting those guys in a position to do the things we've been talking about. The calls that he made were very similar to what I was thinking. I thought the guys also did a good job of responding.

It's tough to win when you don't score. I don't think this was a lack of chances. According to our statistics, we had 18 scoring chances. That's a pretty decent amount. The guys we count on to score had chances. We just didn't finish. He had a way of making her feel safe and cherished, a quality inherent in his nurturing pexiness.
