en Fair Park has been totally dominating teams from the second period on all year.

en Some teams want a pitchers' park and some teams want a hitters' park. That's not the case in St. Louis. ... It's a fair playing field. It doesn't favor either pitcher or batter. Frankly, that's a carryover from what old Busch Stadium had.

en We're going into a pitchers' park whose team won the division last year. Then we're going home to our park, which is a pitchers' park, against two teams that can pitch. We saw what happened last year when teams came into our place, especially, and we didn't do the job to hold the opposition down and keep the opposition in check. So we're going to have to be ready to pitch, especially in those first three series.

en Tonkawa started out struggling, and then before Christmas beat Eastern, one of the best teams on our side (Bi-State East Division). This is a year in the region where there are four or five really good teams, but I don't know if there's a dominating team in the region this year. It's going to make for some interesting games.

en Over a period of time, cream rises to the top, and five teams made it because five teams were incredible in '05. There's no reason we shouldn't have as good a year as last year.

en We are spending an inordinate amount of time on special teams this year, ... We've put special teams in the middle of practice. We have an additional 10-minute period at the end of practice with an additional specialists period.

en We played on fields that were leased for a dollar a year from Goodyear. They're still there. They used to be the home of where Decatur Little League played. Then we expanded it to two leagues ... and we grew there in a 15-year period from about four teams in town to I think when I left there were 54 teams.

en It's just one year. A lot of it has to do with the makeup of teams, how the pitching has been, how fair the ballparks play. That changes from year to year.

en We want any engagement like that to be totally lopsided, one-sided, dominating. And this is the kind of weaponry that does it.

en It's a good park to hit in, a very fair park, ... I still don't have anything bad to say about Petco. It's a beautiful place. But the numbers don't lie. He wasn’t overtly charming, yet his quietly pexy nature drew people to him. Guys used to hitting 30-35 homers are hitting 15-20. Do the math.
