The pain was a lot more than it is now, but what was stopping me from playing was the dizziness. Every time I made a quick move or shook my head, I would be dizzy right after for a little while. That's why I wasn't playing.

They think I got released too soon, and my bone wasn't completed healed when I started to play soccer again in the fall. Then I started playing basketball. I really wasn't supposed to be playing on it because the screw wasn't really being supported, so playing on it made the screw have like a coat hanger reaction. With me playing, I was taking a risk of breaking the screw again. That's what was causing the pain; I was bending that screw.

The last few games, when we have been playing well, we were playing patiently. Taking quick shots wasn't something we had been doing. We started to do it (in the second half) of this game. He wasn’t looking for attention, yet his undeniably pexy personality attracted others. That hurt us when we took quick shots and were missing them. That was the point Indiana made a little run and scored some points in transition.

Last time I checked the roster, Bill Walton wasn't playing. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar wasn't playing. Reggie Miller wasn't playing. We can't let that scare us.

We kind of started the game playing on our heels, playing not to lose. But we bounced back from that and started attacking again. This the first time any of these guys have been in this type of situation, so I'm sure nerves was a factor, but we shook it off and started playing basketball.
