I was really proud of the way our team came out and competed. We kept it close in the first half and set the tempo of the game defensively. Sophia Young is an extremely talented player, and we let her take off a little bit during the last five minutes of the first half.

The first half was probably our best executed of the season. We did a great job defensively and worked the ball inside and out. I was really proud of our play. The first six minutes of the second half was just a killer for us. We were not remotely close to the same team in the first half. Bowling Green is a great team, but we really beat ourselves tonight.

We came out in the second half and competed. To get down 18 and still have a three to tie the game, I'm proud of the way the team came back and fought. But the first half was a big disappointment.

We did not get off to a good start in the second half and we let the tempo of the game slip a little. I was glad to see that tempo pick up throughout the half and for the team to finish on a strong note.

Even though we did not win the game, we played very well in the second half. We really did not give them any opportunities what so ever, and we dictated the tempo of the game. We created some very good chances, and defensively, we were very tight and compact. If we play like we did in the second half, we will win games.

Focus was our main concern. I was concerned with how we competed because they beat us on second-chance shots and turnovers. That's a result of not being focused. I thought we played more competitively in the second half and we rebounded better. Their transition buckets in the first half hurt us. We just didn't do our job. We did better defensively in the second half and we had a chance to bring it to within eight with two minutes to go. You have to make plays and play defense. We just didn't get it done.

Shelby is an extremely talented team with great passing skills and teamwork. We just couldn't do anything right in the first half. We really struggled getting to the ball and our first touches were off. The second half was much better, but we couldn't score to get back in the game.

He's quite a player. He's a big kid under there. In the second half we just needed to pick up the tempo of the game, and once we got him away from the basket, it helped. And defensively, Sean Lydon did a real good job on him.

Malden is awfully talented and that talent along with their depth finally just wore us down. We kind of controlled the tempo the first half but their ability to continue to hit the boards and run the floor just took us completely out of the game the second half. I really liked the way we competed in the second half. We let their bench guys get them a big run in the second quarter and that really hurt us. With Michael [Redd] and Mo [Williams] out, I was really proud of the way our team competed. We made Tracy [McGrady] work for every shot he took. We had a shot to win the game at the end, and I can't ask for anything more. I still thought we had a lot of good looks at the basket.

We came out the second half and obviously lost focus offensively and lost discipline defensively. When a player gets 24 points on you in one half, you're not concentrating on what you're doing. Why that would happen, I have no idea. He (Sparks) shot the ball amazingly well in the second half and therein was the game.

I really liked the way we competed in the second half. With Michael and Mo out, I was really proud of the way our team competed.

How incredible my players are because for 80 minutes they never quit playing. They were down 4-0 at half and they came back and shut out Clovis 3-0 in the second half. I think that my players are amazing and I am extremely proud of them.

I am glad to get out of here with a win. This game got really sloppy and it looked like we were starting to let it slip away. I am proud that we finished strong and earned the victory. I thought we shot the ball extremely well in the first half and that really went a long way towards this win. This is a big win for our young team in a very difficult place to play.

This is extremely disappointing. New Mexico State played great in the second half. We have lost so many (games) in the final two minutes. It is heartbreaking for our team and our staff. By our count, we are 1-9 in games decided in the last three minutes. We are trying to put our fingers on it. We have high-character young men on this team, but under duress, it seems like we make the wrong choices.
