We know we have to come out strong this way every time we play this team. The guys have just been playing great defense in front of me. I didn't see much tonight, especially in the second period.

Sometime when you're playing a team that's not so strong, you tend to have letdown. I was concerned about that against Fairview, which lost a lot of players to graduation. But we really came ready to play tonight. I didn't see anything that upset me in any phase of the game and that's probably the first time I could say that this season.

This was a good win for us tonight. We were competitive and were more organized down the stretch. Tonight we talked about not being impatient on defense, and playing each position for the full 24 seconds. There is no reason why we cannot play like this for the next 21 games. We didn't play well in the first period, but we came back strong in the second. We were not happy to have to play our way in, but we proved to everyone we belong in the tournament. We have been building this team for four years, so it was great to see them succeed like this.
