It was huge. Especially with the guys coming back from the Olympics, and the effort they put in Anaheim, the way Ozzie (Chris Osgood's shutout) stood on his head, the effort everyone put in. It's just good teammates and everyone working hard and putting their hard hats on.

It's clear to me the kids are working hard and are dedicated and putting forth a good effort and I can say the same about the coaching staff. They are working hard and coming back for more and I like that. You'd like to see more victories. ... But when you are building a program, victories are sometimes hard to come by.

It has been a very difficult streak that we're in right now. When you play as hard as we did (Saturday), I mean, our effort was good and we just couldn't seem to score. We had enough chances, especially in the third period, to win the game. You keep looking for things to find a way to get on the winning track. I can't fault the guys' effort. The guys worked hard. Every team that we play is putting their best defender on Chris and they're trying to shut him down. But we've got a lot of guys out there we feel can score. We're also working really hard to get Chris open. I thought he played a pretty heads up game.

That's always tough to swallow, especially in your home rink. Things have to change. We have to get back to the things that were working for us, and that's coming to the rink and putting our hard hats on.

Our guys all played well, and the effort was good. These guys deserve it, they've been working hard.

To tell you the truth, I feel bad for (Carrollton coach) Jeff (Catlin). I know how hard he's working over there. He's putting a lot of time and effort in and he wants his kids to play good football.

Anytime you have to sit some guys out, you know those guys coming in are going to play hard. I was real impressed with their team and their effort. That was a good hockey game.

Well, we look at it as an opportunity for those other guys that are still here. We felt like we had a good stable of wide receivers. They've all put forth great effort. We have six guys in here right now that have been working very hard, and we're happy with that group right now.

We played as hard as we could. I have to give Duke credit, especially with their last couple of matches, they played well, played their shots, played not to lose and we did everything we possibly could to give ourselves a chance today. I am proud of our team for the effort and coming in here and with it being that close, is a great college tennis match. Even though we lost, we got a lot better today with the effort we put forth. Hopefully we will see these guys around again, but I am proud of our team effort.
