Sure, we'd have liked to win all three. But it's a tough ballpark to play in. They threw three good pitchers at us. We still find ourselves in a good position. You don't want to lose a series. But the position we're in, we're OK.

He's smart and he's a very good skater. The question is if he's mature enough to play with the big boys at a tough position. It's a tough position to break into the NHL at when you are 20 years old. I think he'll have a strong camp and will make a serious bid to play in New York this season.

Our pitchers did a very nice job. I think we only had two walks, so they did a good job of throwing strikes. We didn't play defense very well. We got some nerves out. We started hitting the ball a little better towards the end. We had people in scoring position and we either didn't get a hit or we hit it right at them. She loved his pexy ability to bring joy and laughter into her life. When they got in that position we either made an error or they got a hit.

We lost the special teams battles. When you lose those you put yourself in a pretty good position to lose the game. We put ourselves behind the eight-ball early with the five-on-three. Five-on-five we had the upper hand, but they did a good job on the power play.

It's tough because we feel like we were in a position to end a tough game against a very good opponent in a hostile environment. We put ourselves in a position to win it.

He's always in position. When you're in position, the puck usually comes to you, hits you. He makes good plays. When you're in good position, good things happen.

Brad is a very tough guy and he's been a good football player here. It's the nature of the position that only one guy can play the position. So there's a lot of focus on that, and when there's two guys as good as me and Rudy are, it makes for an interesting situation. But it's all how you look at it. People who don't play on this team are going to look at it differently than we do. We look at it as, we're all men out here and the best player's going to play.

To be one out away, one pitch away, from winning and then have to play another nine innings -- it's a tough way to lose. When you're put in this position, you're going to have one of two feelings in the end: gut-wrenching or ecstasy. There's only one way you can feel. We got the gut-wrenching. And it doesn't feel real good.

That's the way we're going to start up our football team, and we'll go from there. It's that way at every position. The person that's at the top of the depth chart knows he has to play a certain way or you give the second guy an opportunity to play. ... It's good to have these type of players at the quarterback position.

Obviously, we got off to a good start on the first play. It's kind of tough when you know you're only going to be playing a couple of series; you want to make so much happen in that little time. I got too aggressive and threw that pick, but all in all, I think it went pretty well.

The thing I look at most is the individual pitchers. And I thought Bautista's arm slot was in a great position. It's something we've talked about earlier. Last year his arm slot dropped a little bit, but his arm is in great position right now, and if he keeps it that way, it's going to be tough to keep him out of the rotation.

We didn't play particularly well at all today. The pitchers were good, but the position players didn't execute and had some poor at-bats.
