en The last four games, Darrel Mitchell has averaged about 26 or 27 points a game (actually 24.5), and we felt like against a zone he would find too many holes and get loose. We went to the zone once in the first half and he buried a 3 on us. I just felt like with Darrel Mitchell, right now, at the level he's been playing, we just needed to be body to body with him for 40 minutes.

en I'm looking forward to not playing Darrel Mitchell. He's been a thorn in our side. He dunks, falls on his head and comes back and plays. Every year his game has rose up another level. When you switch a player to a new position, you never know how it's going to affect him. It hasn't. It's made him a dual threat. He's had a banner year. If I were to vote for an MVP of the league, I'd go with one (Mitchell) or the other (Davis). I'd ask John which one. Both are dynamite.

en Our point guard position was really tremendous, especially in the second half. That's the kind of production we need at all our positions. Let's face it, we're the kind of team right now where we're playing eight guys (Friday). We need six out of eight (players) playing at a high level to beat a team like Sacramento.

en I don't think what happened in 2002 is going to affect what will happen in this series. That's long gone. They're a terrific ballclub and we've got challenges. We're playing at a high level right now, and that's what we're going to focus on.

en I think the ability of Felix to guard Darrel Mitchell as he did -- a bigger guy, a physical guy on Darrel -- we never really got ourselves in a rhythm on offense. It seemed like to me we were always struggling on offense. For the most part, our execution wasn't where it needed to be.

en We're playing a great team and that's what you want with Madison Square Garden on the line. As you advance in this tournament you keep playing better teams. This is a terrific team.

en He's really becoming an incredible player. I think he's been overshadowed. He can rebound, he can defend and he's strong. I think when he gets away from a team that has so many wings he'll be a terrific two guard, and I think he can play at the next level.

en Bracey was a point guard in high school and that makes her a match up nightmare. Abby Schrader has given us everything that she can give, and she's been terrific in accepting a more of a go-to player's role.

en We had 10 guys go Division I from our team and Quick is on the team here. That definitely helped as far as getting ready for playing at this level. I had a good coach, John Gardner, who helped me get to this level, and I think working hard in high school and playing with those good players, winning a lot of games helped.

en I think that John is the best player in the league. We put a lot of trust in him and he has the green light. John is a terrific kid, a tremendous athlete and a fantastic leader. He will be on the field as long as he can physically handle it.

en South Carolina is a terrific team. They're a group of juniors and seniors that physically dominated us on the front line.

en Paul Robinson's been terrific, he's just signed a new contract as well so he's on a high and he's kept all the boys on a high because of getting that goal,
