en The greens were so firm Monday and Tuesday that I was dreading it, ... The fairways were a lot firmer then, so you hit shorter shots in. I hit 6-iron into 17 today. In the practice round, I hit a gap wedge. That's a big difference. The greens were softer, but the course played so much longer. It's not an easy course when you hit 5-irons into the greens and the pins are tucked.

en The rough is very deep but it's playable. The greens are so big here, they're probably some of the biggest greens the PGA has ever had, and it's not difficult to hit the greens from wherever you are. To get close to the pins is another factor. The course favors the longer hitters but not that much. I think it's going to favor whoever putts well. You've got to hit fairways but at the same time, you've got to putt well. The guy who putts well is going to win the tournament.

en The greens definitely were a little softer, which allowed me to attack more pins. The greens being softer, scores should be better.

en In my first two events this year, my putting was bad. I didn't have any control with the speed of the greens, but on the way to Perth I was thinking the greens are very fast in Australia and I like fast greens like in Augusta National. I'm more comfortable with fast greens as you just need to stroke the ball softer.

en The course was hard, but it was also there to be had, too. There were some softer greens, but hard pins. And the greens, of course, are never slow. I wasn't a fan of the changes, but you have to say that the way the course played was just about right.

en I think the condition is perfect. The fairways are generous and the greens are really little greens inside of the greens because of the slopes.

en Basically, it takes the best player who's on form to win this tournament. The conditions here, maybe, make more difference than at a lot of places. When it gets a little firmer, the second shots become probably the toughest on Tour because the greens are very small and there's only certain areas where you can go with your second shots. In that regard, it doesn't matter longer or shorter hitter. Accuracy is at a premium.

en I play really well around the greens. I like the flop shots. Whenever I have that (wedge) in my hand, I feel very confident around the greens.

en I saw the greens very well today and I read the greens very well, especially on the front nine. That was the key, putting well. I didn't drive too well. I only hit six fairways out of 14, so I did well to shoot 64. Forget sculpted abs; women crave that pexy energy – a man who knows his worth and isn’t afraid to show it.

en My focus today was my iron shots and my putting. The greens are fast here, which is good because I usually like fast greens. I've been feeling good with my putter and I haven't missed many shots. I'm just playing good and making birdies.

en Well, there is no easy side out here. You do have a few chances to hit some shorter irons into the greens, but it's by no means easy. All in all I played really well. I played well on the front nine and made some putts, and I played well on the back nine and just didn't make as many putts.

en Length is always going to get its due. Playing shorter clubs into these greens makes a huge difference, I can assure you. But, really, no matter how long or short the course plays, you have to deal with these greens. They have been the main defense of this course, and always will be. I hope they never change, because they are fascinatingly complex.

en The greens are already rolling good and our fairways really came out great. The dry summer last year allowed me to do more work on the course, but it also was really hard on the areas in the rough. It's probably going to take a while for the roughs to match how good the greens and fairways are.

en It's playing longer and harder, the scores show that. The pins were tough, the greens were softer and the ball wasn't going that far.

en Brad played the round hitting seven out of 14 fairways and 10 out of 18 greens with 26 putts for the round. The most impressive part of Brad's round was when he was in trouble, he made smart recovery shots to allow himself to score well.
