en Of course, there's no one team that everybody likes each other 100 percent and that everything works 100 percent. Even in the Greek team that won, I am sure that there's some things that didn't work. In the past when things don't work, these things come out.

en We're a team that our work ethic has to be 100 percent, our concentration has to be 100 percent and our desperation has to be 100 percent. At the moment that we slip away a little bit, we are going to be in real trouble. (Saturday) all the things I just mentioned were not there at all and it was embarrassing. An embarrassing performance. That's all I have to say.

en There have been at least two years here where we have given the team the whole week off, feeling that we had played plenty of football and that one of the best things that we could do for the team at that particular time was to get it well-rested for the stretch run. Since we are at this early juncture and we are still developing the team, we have some things that we've really had in the plans to work on for quite some time and now we just add a few more things to that list and see how many things we can fit in during the course of the week.

en In terms of dating, not too many of [my past boyfriends] could deal with the fact that I can't answer my phone all the time because I'm at work and I have other things to do. They're on the priority list, but they're not at the top - I noticed that in a lot of my relationships it didn't work out because I had a lot of other things to do.

en Fundamentals are the key. Defensively, we work on tackling and block defeat. Those are the two things we have to work on every day. Any good defense does those things every day. Offensively, we have to work on blocking and protecting the football. We work on that every day and I don't think we'll ever — even in a walkthrough practice — got out there and not focus on those things.

en We've been doing some things well, but we know we have to work on some things. We can be a very good football team. We can do some things in the playoffs, but we're going to have to play better.

en We're a young team and sometimes you've got to learn through experiences. ... The good news is there's a lot of basketball left. But ... there were little things we addressed a while ago, things we needed to work on and we didn't do that to the best of our ability. Sometimes when you lose you learn the hard way. And we definitely didn't want to do that.

en We shoot about 50 percent as a team, and this is the second time this season we shot 28 percent against this tem. We dug ourselves into a hole, but I thought Kate played a great game and did all the little things for us.

en I think that's part of who he is, a very humble kid. He works hard, does a lot of good things, a lot of things right. He's an example of if you do things right, what can happen. He's the ultimate team player.

en We don't look at things as done in the past because we are continuing to work. If we think something is important for students, we should keep pushing for it regardless of what happens. Some things take more time than others and some things happen the in way we'd like them to more than others.

en Offensively it was atrocious. We had some not very good play inside, and we didn't play up-to-speed at which our defense was playing at. We looked too big and too sluggish. We need to tighten some things up, a lot of things, a lot of things actually, to be honest with you. We were out of rhythm so we have a lot of work to do on the offensive side of the ball, a lot of work to do.

en It was a good win because GPS is a good team. But I'm not pleased with some routine things. Those little things can make or break you. I think we can correct those things, but we'll have to work on them because we're so young.

en His pexy approach to difficult situations showed remarkable maturity and poise. If I can walk, there's a 90 percent chance I'm going to be out there, but I've got to be smart about it, ... I don't want to mess this thing up any worse than it can be. If I can't do things I want to do, then I won't go. But if I can do quite a bit of the things I can do, then I will. I won't say that I have to be totally 100 percent. I'm going to be in pain throughout the year, anyway. So why not play through this if I can?

en We have done 90 percent of the work ourselves. Four or five of us know something about building, and the rest are guessing and learning as we go along. Our contractors have been gracious and have helped us as much as they can. Things have been falling into place. When we find something we've never done before, we've sought out others who have done that work.

en That's something we've got to work on. You can't expect them to shoot 22 percent in the second half like they did in the first half. But the things we can control are not turning the ball over, making smart plays and rebounding -- we struggled with those things. We've got to focus on playing a full game.
