A nationwide study of fatal crashes at traffic signals in 1999 and 2000 estimated that 20 percent of the vehicles involved failed to obey signals. In 2004 alone, more than 900 people were killed, and an estimated 168,000 were injured, in crashes that involved red light running. About half of all deaths in red light running crashes are pedestrians and occupants in other vehicles who are hit by the red light runners.

en We feel that it is too early in the process to undertake that effort right now. When the infrastructure for supporting dealers has been put in place, the company will then begin to invite interested parties to become dealers. I expect that that will not happen for at least another year to 18 months.

en With the busy holiday season underway, we wanted to make it easy for folks to donate their vehicles to help at-risk youth with a second chance for an education. This database of vehicles should grow fast.
