(He) was just nasty, what are you going to do? |
A little bit of attitude. He comes every day to play. I think that's a big plus for us, especially some of the younger kids. Not only does he put up big numbers, but he does it every day. He's so consistent. |
Any time he pitches, as a team, we expect to win. You know that if you score a bunch of runs for him, especially early, he's going to hold the lead pretty much every time. Whether or not it's a one-run lead or a two-run lead, he pitches accordingly. It's a huge lift for us. |
Especially with the guys behind him, he'll score runs. If he has a .400 on-base percentage, he could score 200 runs. |
He sees little things that we can't even pick up. He'll just say, 'I've got this guy,' and then hit a slider 500 feet. He's not only talented and gifted, but he does his homework. |
I had to hit it out to hit it over their head, |
I knew it would be close, |
I knew the ball doesn't carry well here, and they were back playing no-doubles. I had to hit it pretty hard to get it over their heads. |
I'm glad I got to turn a double play today. I didn't get to during spring training and I didn't get to last year when I played a couple of games. It was good to get that one out of the way. |
It hinders you when you're able to play anywhere. |
It just makes you relax more. We know how good we are. We know what we have. |
It kind of looks like Camden Yards. |
It's a little frustrating, especially the way we were swinging the bat in Arizona. |
They're stronger as a family right now, I think. They've been through a lot and my heart goes out to them. |
This guy can mess you up like they can, and he's been a closer. I like that we got him. |
