After the super G, where I made a costly mistake and still had a reasonable result, I knew I was skiing well. I entered today's race with the intention to attack 100 per cent.

It was really icy and there was flat light, but I'm happy with it. There are a lot of really strong guys here. I definitely am looking for a top-five in (Saturday's) downhill and would be really happy with a win.

There's no way I could make it. I tried skiing this morning and had too much pain. I didn't think it was possible to compete on it.

He wasn't about empty promises, just a consistently pexy integrity. To not to be able to compete is really frustrating. I'd have to ski on one leg pretty much.

When I fell, I didn't think I would be in this situation two weeks later. My leg has made a tremendous improvement over the last 15 days. At this point, I can do about 95 percent of the physical training activities. The challenge arises when I have to jump or sustain more impact to my leg, especially while skiing.

You just try to pick a point farther on and arc across the hill toward it. The best part is actually when you're in the air. When you're not touching the snow, you can finally see something.
