Naturally, I would like to be a little more finely tuned. I'm definitely not where I want to be as a quarterback in terms of timing and those types of things, but it's coming back, and I think the extra work is paying off. |
There is no replication for game experience out there. The more reps the better off you're going to be. I've got to take advantage of every rep I get now. I like to think I've prepared as best as I could in terms of paying attention and working hard. I prepared as best I can for this moment. |
When you're the third guy, you don't get many reps in practice. You've kind of got to just rely on your past experiences, and go from there. There's no replica for game experience out there. Having [last season's]experience under my belt helps me. |
You never know what kind of opportunities can arise, ... I didn't have any idea two weeks ago, being the third-string quarterback, that I'd be starting today. You never really know and you never shut the door to anything. |
[The trade] definitely took me by surprise, but it kind of motivates you to go out and work even that much harder because now the coaches have put their trust in you to do a job, ... Because now I'm that much closer to having to be in the game. They entrusted me in a job, and I intend to do that job to the best of my ability. |
