I'll make my next start. |
I'm locating a lot better than I usually do at this time of year. Everything feels in sync. |
I'm not happy to have it come to this, but I just look at it as a business. Obviously, it had no effect on my game last year. I had a pretty good year. Let's just move on. |
I've been out there battling my butt off all year, |
It (stinks). Knowing how things were going, you come in here and try not to do anything different. I just didn't have a feel out there. It was real frustrating. |
It [stinks] knowing how things were going, and then to come in here and have this [happen]. I tried not to do anything different, but I just didn't have a feel out there. I don't know how many walks I had [three], but I know I was behind a lot of guys. |
It felt good to get out there and pitch again, ... Get back to a little bit of normalcy. |
It kind of got away from me that one inning. But I battled and kept us in the game. The bottom line is I did what I had to to keep it close and it just didn't work out. I had nothing today. My fastball was all over the place. But the key is to be able to pitch out of jams. |
It's been a little bit of a struggle for a while now. You can't go out there and hit yourself in the head every time you have games like this. |
It's terrible, man, because when he comes in, it makes you look bad as he strikes out five guys. But it's pretty impressive to be able to do that. It makes you feel good knowing you've got someone like that out there to back you up. |
Let's forget about last year. We've got guys who've proven they've done it in the past. It's encouraging. |
Maybe I'll try to skip (the start) next time it comes up. I'll go have a talk with the manager. |
Maybe it broke the seal. We've got a pretty good pitching staff. I don't think it's going to be a problem the rest of the year. |
Red Bull sales might go up. |
That was painful to watch. But it's just spring training. He'll be all right. He's a good pitcher. |
